Yep. He's actually lost quite a bit of weight since getting hired, but the boobs are still there.

With the past couple hires, I'm cautiously optimistic. He runs a physical practice and we need it from what Chaggy was running the last couple years, and he seems to genuinely love the State of Arkansas.

Honestly? We can tell what he is saying, seems to give a rip, and is one of the best recruiters for linemen. Sounds like a good core

I think Pittman is a good coach and he'll do reasonably well at Arkansas. Unfortunately for the Razorbacks, it's going to be a rebuild this year (and probably the next two) and they play all the best teams this year, so it won't show in the results this year. If I'm an Arkansas fan, I'm just looking to see some more fight this year than last year.

I'm not going to blow smoke up your arse about Sam Pittman or the talent on our team but I don't see how anybody can watch that video and think Arkansas is in trouble with him based solely on his first meeting with the team.
Sam is a genuine coach that is loved by all of his current and former players much like Ed Orgeron. He is an excellent recruiter and o-line coach. He went and made some outstanding hires for his coordinators. He is running physical practices and pushing these guys unlike the last staff. It could all turn out to be a bunch of nothing but we had momentum under Bret Bielema until his alcoholism and subsequent laziness derailed that. The optimistic fan in me thinks that Sam can put us back on that track.

Under Bielema we started the 2015 season ranked #18 and got up to #16 halfway through the 2016 season. He wasn't all bad. He just eventually fell apart when Pittman left and some of his best players like Alex Collins and Hunter Henry went on to the NFL, got lazy and became an alcoholic.

Yeah, and Ed O’s first HC gig wasn’t at LSU, it was a disastrous stop at OM.
If anyone thinks Pittman is the next Ed O they’re right, but since this is Pittman’s first HC job, it’ll be the Ole Miss version of Ed O.
Ed O had to go through A LOT before he became a successful HC (HC at OM, interim at USC, LSU and D coordinator roles). Pittman hasn’t gone through any of that AND he’s the same age as Ed O except without all the experience. What a shitty hire
