He has averaged 8-9 wins a year at Iowa.

Of course Ohio State is going to have higher expectations because they are a storied program. Iowa was a bottom feeder before Hayden Fry came and changed the culture.

Same thing for Arkansas! Not going to win a championship in football. Can get to 8-9 wins seasons. Just like Missouri.

Pittman seems like a good guy. I wish him well.

Exactly, sir.

I think some folks here think that we think he’s gonna be Superman. I’d take looking like the bad news bears for a bit as long as it looks like we are improving, putting forth effort and give a shite as the season progresses. That would be a notch up from last season with Chad, he definitely had the bad news bears part going for him but that was it.

Be real. What do y'all see in that guy?

I think one thing that gets lost in all of this is he hired the guy that took Missouri to two SEC Championship games, I don't care if the East was down, it was Missouri. The guy knows what it takes to recruit and win at a high level. They may never win a Natty, but I guarantee they will be the first team that isn't LSU, Alabama, or Auburn in the west to get to a big 6 game in the next 5 years.

Sam can take the stress a lot better than Bert. He actually has lost weight since he got here.

I noticed this recently, quite a bit actually. Good for him.

Well yeah...which is probably why the AD got the ax.

What that mean? Your team barely beat Ole Miss last year. It is not a good look for your team this year against Ole Miss! I am thinking a loss to Ole Miss this year.

That's the problem with some of you Mizzou fans: thinking. You shouldn't be trying to do things you're incapable of doing.

Mississippi State plays Missouri this year. You probably should've saved the shite talk for someone you have a chance to beat this year, like maybe Vanderbilt.

You couldn't beat an Ole Miss team coached by Matt Luke last year, but you think you're going to beat a more experienced Ole Miss team this year with a better head coach while you have a FIRST TIME EVER HC on your sideline?

Our OC last year is now the TE coach for UAB. Our DC last year now coaches for a middle school

The Pittman to Matt Luke comparison that people keep making is dumb. Pittman has been known as 10x the better OL coach/recruiter for a decade. I've even seen Ole Miss fans who didn't think Luke did a good job when he was just the OL coach there, meanwhile Pittman has turned down SEC OC opportunities and was the highest paid OL coach in the country who has had a shite ton of 1st round picks.

This is exactly what your fan base said about Bert.

Why do you keep saying dumb shite like this?
Not one fan wanted Bielema. Hell we started calling him Bert his first year. That pussy Jeff Long just didn't want to do his damn job and actually go look for someone.

He was too busy jockeying to get a commissioner gig, and blew it by signing the fat man to a contract he didn't deserve.

Agree, big difference from the last few guys. Coach O was kind of a similar hire in that regard and also being a position coach for most of his career. Hope it works out for yall

rebuild this year (and probably the next two)

I don't think it's going to be as bad as people expect, other than having the toughest schedule ever.

Briles wants the kids that Chad recruited. It won't be Bobby taking over for Nutt or Bielema taking over for Bobby.

Well yeah, you've made my point exactly. Arkansas got beat last year by one of the worst coaches in the history of the SEC. He wasn't even a good positions coach and he still beat Ark.

They're not going to beat an experienced HC / Offensive Coordinator with a first year HC / glorified OL coach

Exactly...he says I made his point but he actually made mine

Cool that they ended up with great value Briles as their OC though.

We’ll see what happens. But as a pessimistic OM fan, even this is a game I can’t picture Kiffin losing.
