I drive back to my parents from Atlanta to Greenville to Asheville and then up into Tennessee, or the alternate route of Gainesville to Clayton to Franklin to Asheville.
You can't beat it.

Obviously

if not for Governor Ben Pitchfork Tillman, SC would have a renovated sheep barn today.

I would include Southwest Virginia in that as well. Love Grayson Highlands, Elk Gardens, Damascus, the Virginia Creeper Trail, etc.

I have gathered one thing from this thread: Scar is greater than clemson in everything, except for the reasons why people come to this board

Truth.
The Chattooga River is pure bliss.

Yep - my journey home stops on the TN/VA line, but the corner of SWVA is gorgeous as well

Correct answer
As to OP
SC = women
CU = sheep
I am not into sheep for sexual congress.

That's fine and all but Athens is 1 hr from Toccoa and you never hear Georgia people describe Athens as in the mountains.
It's nice that it is close, but it's a bit disengenuous to claim Clemson is in it. A lot of places could claim things an hour away.
Clemson is 20 miles from legit mountains (thus the term foothills). Athens is closer to 50 miles from real mountains, and you have to cover 30-40 miles before you start approaching real mountains. Athens is a beautiful place, but it is not the foothills.

College of Charleston if I had to go to a public school in SC

Then what are yall arguing about? We all agree Clemson is literally 45 minutes to some of the prettiest wild country this side of the Mississippi.
Every college town has its plusses and minuses... I am sure I would have fully embraced living the city life if I had gone to Columbia. I went to Clemson, and spending spring weekends along the Chattooga River fly fishing and camping with friends are some of my favorite memories.

Ha, you'd be about as wrong as one can possibly be. The last time I was there I went into the capital building for a work function. Probably been a dozen times, at least.

So you claim to be a former student who hung out at a sheep barn who has never seen a sheep
I found your old girlfriend and she says you are lying

you guys obsessed with sheep and zoophilia.
they only recently renovated the sheep barn. I'm not sure what it was used for when I was at Clemson but I never saw a sheep. lol
it would be pretty cool to walk past sheep and other farm animals on way to class though.

Hate is a strong word
You claim to be a Clemson grad yet you seem to know very little a Clemson grad should. That makes you an alter or at best a real Clemson t-shirt fan.
Either way it is funny to mess with you because you play into all the Tater stereotypes.
