LOL - that's one generous description of the nature within 10-15 miles of Clemson.

From Clemson to the wilds of the Chattooga River on the GA-NC-SC border it is 45 minutes. I did plenty of weekend trout fishing up in those parts and it is some of the most beautiful country on the east coast. Places like Turtleback Falls are approximately an hour away.

If we could get her on board, what would you take her to do?

This is a classy lady so I hope you have something nice in mind

I was thinking about taking her to the Jockey Lot in Anderson. I think that is the world's largest flea market.

No need to go to Greenville...just an option to change things up.

That's fine and all but Athens is 1 hr from Toccoa and you never hear Georgia people describe Athens as in the mountains.

It's nice that it is close, but it's a bit disengenuous to claim Clemson is in it. A lot of places could claim things an hour away.

Long Creek, SC is one of the prettiest places in this country east of the Mississippi.

you can see the Blue Ridge mountain from the front of Tillman Hall overlooking Bowman field.

you can't see the mountains in Athens.

there is also not a lake right next to campus in Athens. only an ugly muddy river. boom

Yep, and you can see the sheep running for their lives and virtue also but some of you folks up there are too fast for them.

I'd go to the real USC.

Clemson fans are the Auburn fans of the ACC.

Haven't been to Long Creek, but that whole corner of the state from Walhalla to the border with GA-NC is a little slice of heaven.

i have never seen sheep at Clemson. There are some cows on a dairy farm run by Clemson but that is out near 76 on the way to Anderson, not next to campus.

Clemson does have a renovated sheep barn though that is a student hangout.
