He was better than Bryce in the 4th quarter when it mattered.

I hear this a lot, but the fact is, just because we throw a lot, he still has to be accurate amirite? His completion % was insane. I will grant you our entire team did not show up for the bowl game but Rogers has been very good most of the year and makes quick good decisions.

Say what you want…I won’t argue talent, but Will Rogers 3rd year in Leach’s system will put him top 10 nationally, if not top 5.
Will Rogers was #3 nationally in 2021.
Bryce Young was #2 (with 2 more games) and the Western KY guy was 1,000 yards ahead at #1 (with 1 more game than Rogers).

Bennett beat 3 of the QBs on that list, fwiw, and did not play the other two.
I honestly had no idea Stetson also played on defense. Learn something new everyday.

2. Jaxon Dart. (Ole Miss)
If Ole Miss reels in Dart, I'd probably put him #4 on this list.

Why is Brennan's durability not immediately brought up. Even if one was not football related, it is still an injury. 3 games played in the past 2 years is not good. Tua is considered made of glass and he managed way more than that.

Bennett last year had similar numbers to Greg McElroy his final season and that was after 10 years of rules to make the offense easier. McElroy was a game manager. That's ok. It gets you a few years as a backup (and occasional start) in the NFL and then a nice gig on the SEC network. I don't think anyone outside of Athens sees it any other way.

Bryce Young......crazy accuracy under pressure? his stats show when you rush 5 he completes 40% of his passes. He literally padded his stats with Jameson running past guys in a straight line and him just throwing it up with no one with in 5+ yards of him.

When the thread started and Bennett was listed as honorable mention, that cast doubt serious doubt on its validity.
Young is fine at the top, after all he did win the Heisman last year.
Todd Monken, the OC at Georgia, has done a tremendous coaching job with Bennett. At the end of the season Bennett was playing very well. He threw two picks on the SECCG but then Young threw two picks in the NCG. Do folks hold that against Young like they hold it against Bennett? The answer is no they do not.
Provided Bennett can hold on to his job he will be one of the best in the SEC this fall. Georgia has some serious talent returning on that side of the ball, even without Burton.

uga must have a hell of a WR coach to have those guys ready to step up like they did? Lucky to have him in athens.

I'm not going to be so bold as to say Stetson Bennett should be #1, however, he did finish the year with the #1 YPA in the conference and #2 Passer Rating.
He should be considered a Top 5 QB returning for 2022.

Umm. Every QB performs better with no pressure versus pressure.
Relatively speaking, bryce is better under pressure than any other qb that uga faced in 2021.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

Half of the receivers belong to TE WR Academy. They have the same personal trainer (terrence edwards) who got them freshman ready with separation (off the snap and on the grab).

Also... ask any uga fan if todd monken took over WR coaching duties at any point the past 12 months.
Monken is a control freak. But there were issues needing his involvement.
Good luck.

Mediocre QB whose stats are deceiving due to playing in a Leach offense, and the fact that most of his throws are check-downs or shallow quick slants. If you make him throw into coverage, 10+ yards past the LOS, you find out really quickly that he isn’t very good. He also brings nothing to table as a runner. Just mediocre, like the rest of State’s football program since Muffin left.
ETA: 6.9 ypa

- 80/168 (47.6%)
- 17 TD/3 INT
- 7.9 YPA
- 100.8 QB Rating
His adjusted completed rate (removing throw aways and drops) while pressured was 67.4%, highest in the SEC.

Hooker isn't better than Rattler.
