There will never be a season ever again as good as not only Joe Burrow at quarterback, but the 2019 LSU fighting tigers. Period end of discussion there is no debating

To you and the rest of the LSU fanbase, this is true.

To the rest of the civilized and sensible college football world, this is false.

Derrick Henry should be legendary. He’s been nothing less than amazing in the NFL, and will probably be indicted in the hall
Of Fame one day.

You seem to have left out about 1,500 rushing yards and 20 tds…

And if you said their names to 100 people, half wouldn’t have a clue who Burrow is. He had future NFL hof receivers, Cam didn’t.

With a shoulder injury? Maybe.

Nah even with a shoulder injury Cam runs it in for a TD instead of throwing a pick to Mack Wilson

Cam on 2019 LSU or Joe on 2010 Auburn?

Yep.

Cam Newton with CEH, Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, Thad Moss, Terrance Marshall Jr and a solid OL.

Joe Burrow with Mike Dyer, Darvin Adams, Terrell Zachary, Emory Blake, Philip Lutz and a solid OL.
Not arguing, but here's something to think about:

Go back and watch 2018 LSU. For a good part of the season, Burrow is around, or under, 50% completion. With mostly the same WRs. I don't think he got his season percentage over 50% until game 5 or 6; game 4 was the first time his game percentage was above 50%.

But like I said, WATCH those games. He wasn't bad or inaccurate; instead, LSU had probably 5+ drops of clean passes every damn game. Closer to 10 in some. I know, because we all used to rage about that shite.
I remember watching the Fla game (a loss) and thinking near the end- y'know, his numbers are bad, but dude is actually good. He should have 1 incompletion, and that was a throwaway. We should be cruising in this game, not losing. Yeah, I know he threw a pick 6 not long after I thought that; but the point remained.
Burrow was the impetus to the Summer of 10000 catches, and everyone caught the ball in 2019.

Could he have done that with a different team? Could Cam have inspired everyone to work to get better? Who knows?
But Burrow made that 2019 team become what they were.

Derrick Henry

Has been a player underestimated his entire playing career.

Coming out of high school there were many coaches and fans who didn't believe Henry could play RB in the FBS successfully. He became the SEC's first and only 2,000-yard rusher by his junior season. People doubted his skills would translate to the NFL yet now he is a virtual lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is the only running back in the history of organized football to run for over 2,000 yards in a season in high school, college, and the NFL.

He ranks up there with the greatest running backs in the history of the game, both college and pro.

I doubt that.

Recruiting him for another position = / = We don’t think he can play RB.

I think he’s been very fortunate to avoid serious injury after accumulating so many carries. He broke his ankle once and I think that was about it.

Cam Newton. If you still want to think JB… compare their rosters on offense and defense. I am a huge Auburn fan but I’d take LSU’s 2019 roster over Auburn 2010 any day.

Cam and Tebow definitely a tier low. I’d bump Lamar up too.

Of course there’s luck involved with no getting hurt but it’s obvious at this point Henry’s durability is pretty insanely good. High durability is also a skill set / talent not all that many players have.

Also he was already about a 220-230 Ibs beast of man in HS going up against a bunch of tiny kids I doubt there was much wear and tear there.

In college, people don’t seem to know Henry had significantly fewer career touches compared to guys like Zeke or CMC among plenty of other notable RBs because he barely played his freshman year and was a 1B RB his sophomore yr

You think Cam was half the passer Burrow was in college? I don't think Cam beats Clemson and Trevor Lawrence. That's how special Burrow is THROWING the football.

You were a great team but not the best teams like the 2001 Hurricanes, 2004 USC, 1995 Nebraska saying that is an insane thought..or are you just that big of a homer

2019 LSU would have waxed all of those teams. Simply by out scoring them.
