That site is so good, my firewall at work blocks it. Must be loaded with viruses.

2019 LSU averaged an impressive 34 ppg against the 3 best defenses it faced (UGA, AU, and Clemson).

Statistically Florida had a better defense than Auburn.

'92 Alabama is severely overrated. They were a good team but one of the weaker on the list. I also think the 2009 Bama team.... while being Saban's only undefeated one... was not nearly as good as their 2011 and 2012 teams.

I'd rank Bama 2011, Bama 2012, and LSU 2019 as the three best, and I don't have a problem with the order.

If you make be rank them 1-14, I'd do it like this:

1. Bama 2012
2. LSU 2019
3. Bama 2011
4. Florida 2008
5. Auburn 2010
6. Florida 1996
7. Florida 2006
8. Alabama 2009
9. Tennessee 1998
10. LSU 2003
11. Alabama 2015
12. Alabama 1992
13. Alabama 2017
14. LSU 2007

I would put the Alabama 2011 and the LSU 2019 at #1. Any team that stops another team from getting within 40 yards of the end zone, and only allows that team to cross the 50 once the whole game, well you know. While some of you will say "but LSU beat Bama that year", yeah, LSU was given a gift at the goal line with an int. It should have been Alabama ball at the one going in.

DJ FLUKER SCANDAL & NCAA INVESTIGATION

Would be cool to see the 1992 Bama defense vs the 1996 Florida offense or the 2019 LSU offense. 2011 Bama defense would’ve been a good match up for those two offenses as well.

Finally, a solid post. Bias but I will take 19 LSU over 11 Bama. IMO, that 11 Bama team was Saban's best. 12 has an argument to be made.

Noteworthy to me, is how much the game has changed since 11/12 LSU/Bama. 19 LSU vs 11 Bama. Could 11 Bama's lb's keep up Clyde and co. ? Saban started recruiting slimmer faster lb's soon after. Could 19 LSU's o line prevent 11 Bama d line from pressuring Burrow ? IMO, that would be a game for the ages.

2011 LSU and 2004 Auburn should both be ranked ahead of 2011/2017 Bama frauds and claim natties.

Awww, your jealousy is so cute. 2019 LSU Tigers, best college football team in history. Any Bama team Sabah or any Gump coach fielded before him couldn't keep up with Jeaux Burreaux and the Shrimp Boat Captain.

Yet Alabama only lost by 5 to LSU to the "best LSU team in history." Keep telling yourself how wonderful LSU is, maybe someone will believe you.

It will be funny when everything returns to normal.

I do have a question.

Do you think LSU will finally make it double digits in wins against Alabama in Baton Rouge? Odds say "no"

Clearly more of a "coolness" kind of ranking than "Who would win" kind of ranking - I would never presume that the 2009 Alabama team could beat 2012, and I have a hard time seeing the 2009 offense scoring much against the 2011 defense. That said, the 2009 team was scrappy, wasn't quite yet loaded end-to-end with talent (but was getting there), and was the beginning of Alabama's absurd decade-long run.

Does not change that Opinion.

Now it’s a fact that Bama was given a gift of a NC title appearance despite going 1-1 against teams that were ranked after 12 games.

You have an odd criteria for "almost losing."

Auburn never led after 5:15 remaining in the 3rd quarter and Alabama never led at all.
