I mean I hate them but they did get a road playoff win and went to the SEC title. More than anyone else below on the list

Remember when we had Meyer, Saban, Miles, Spurrier, Petrino, Richt. Fulmer, etc in 08..
We were fricking loaded with great head coaches

First place conference regular season finish, championship game appearance, CFP appearance, 1-1 in the CFP losing to the eventual national champions, finished 11-4 and ranked in the top 10. It was a better season than LSU has had this decade.
LSU football (record, final ranking, championship or playoff wins).
2020: 5-5, unranked, 0
2021: 6-7, unranked, 0
2022: 10-4, 16th, 0
2023: 10-3, 13th, 0
2024: 9-4, unranked, 0
2025: 7-6, unranked, 0

The 2020s SEC coaches are better than the 2010s at least. From 1980-2010 we were blessed with hall of famers on almost every sideline

Agreed..it was very fun to watch.

Fulmer treated florida like that coach In the waterboy. We should have beat them so many more times than we did but fulmer was terrified of them. I pray to god that I don't ever get in a situation where i'm as scared of anything as philip fulmer was of florida

I wouldn't rank De Boer as high as #3 period, and if you're just ranking him at his current job (which seemingly should exclude his more successful tenure at Washington), I'd rank him as below average so far.
This really has not been a very successful tenure for a guy who inherited Nick Saban's fricking program. I'd rank DeBoer behind Elko, Heupel, and Lea at minimum. I'd also probably rank him behind Drinkwitz, and Golding is basically a too early to be graded.

Considering the talent DeBoer inherited he needs to be moved below Elko. Otherwise list is ok.

deboer is 2-0 vs sark. He should be ahead of him. He's a better coach.

Are you saying Drinkwitz will be the next SEC to be let go or be fired at the end of this season?

This is likely Sark’s last season at Texas, he’s all in for better or for worse. He has the roster to win it all and is free of the personal distractions that clouded the program last offseason. There’s a reason he has been so candid with the media. He’s gunning for a title and will follow manning to nfl or will go his own nfl way if Texas doesn’t get there.

How did the guys who followed Spurrier and Meyer fare at Florida? The site I am looking at shows the guy who took over after Spurrier went 8-5, 8-5, and 7-5. And the guy who took over after Meyer went 7-6, 11-2, 4-8, and 7-5. Is that right?

Probably why those guys got fired, if I had to guess.

Interesting facts about Kalen Deboer. Kalen Deboer has been a power 4 coach for 4 seasons. He has a record of 45-11. He has had 11 or more wins in three of those four seasons. He has made the CFP twice in those four seasons. He is 2-2 in those games.
His 2 CFP appearances are more than any SEC school not named Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma or Texas. Kalen Deboer has more CFP appearances in 4 seasons than 12 SEC schools have in the history of the CFP.
His 2 CFP wins are as many or more than all but two SEC schools, Alabama and Georgia.
Kalen Deboer is one of four current SEC coaches to have won a CFP game. Kirby has 5 wins, Deboer, Sark and Golding each have 2 apiece.

It's wild that he lost 2 games total, in 2 seasons at Washington.
And 8 in 2 seasons at Alabama.
