Burks is no 1 for me. He’s physically imposing and can be used in a myriad of different ways and Arkansas does a good job of taking advantage of his skill set
Next I would have Pickens. When we played them there were several times we had good coverage on him but he was simply able to make plays most other guys can’t because of his length and athleticism.

Trying to pick the top five is quite a chore. There is no doubt, there is some serious WR talent returning this fall in this conference.

Javon Baker is the name to watch at Bama.

I don't know, man. He's scored two special teams TD's in his time here on very limited opportunities. He could develop into a real playmaker if he could get on the field

I'd argue Burks is the most talented Arkansas football player since Darren McFadden. The other guys I'd consider are pre injury Greg Childs and Trey Flowers.

Billingsley lines up at tight end but it's a real good bet he will be among the 5 best receivers in the SEC next year

Definitely. Next I’m going to do a TE list so he will definitely be top 2 there imo.
Is he Sophomore? Seems like he just busted on the scene this season.

Lane isn't top 5 worthy. He's a gamer. He's reliable. He's not Kirkesce. We don't have a player that will be top 5. Demas may get there, but he's got a lot to prove.

John Rhys Plumlee will not be on any preseason WR watch list, but he will be by the end of the season. Dude is going to be a matchup nightmare coming out of the backfield or the slot. He practiced at WR for a week for the bowl game and he was the primary target on the game winning drive, catching a tough pass over the middle getting blown up for a first down, then YAC all the way down to the red zone on another play.

Plumlee is the Taysom Hill of College Football.

16 minute mark, he made 3 big catches on the drive that are all shown when it was tied game on the line. Dude is going to be special if he learns the slot routes all off season and works on timing with the QB.

Arian Smith for UGA going to explode onto the scene in 21 imo.

Wow those were some tuff catches.
Ole miss should definitely do some more wildcat runs with Plumlee that dude is fast.

I think his numbers were so high because Rogers felt so comfortable with him
I think it's safe to assume that the most productive target, will be the one he's most comfortable with. None of the other WR's have really proven much outside of Griffin as an general athlete, but I don't see him as much of a homerun guy as Walley.

Damn, might be the first time I've ever agreed with you on something. Appreciate the good words on Burks.

This is true. If anyone on our team was Top 5, it would be Ainias Smith even though he wears multiple hats.

I get the feeling someone other than Metchie will step up for Bama next year. He just doesnt have the same feel to him that Jeudy, Smith, Waddle had. Certainly a good receiver in his own right but it wouldn't surprise me if a new name from Bama came on strong and is their leading receiver next year. They've certainly recruited enough talent there.
I don't disagree with that, but Metchie apparently played with an injury for the second half of the year. He was looking a lot more dynamic early. But, I do agree that he's probably more of a dependable #2 guy. He's not quite the freak the guys before him were.
