No Treylon Burks?

Yeah, Burks is absolutely better than Mike Woods and honestly has a case for #1 on this list. He's the leading returning WR in YPG and TD and an absolute physical freak.

He's good and will put up some stats. Wouldn't surprise me to see him top 5 next year

Sure hope so. With a full year of reps under their belts, fans will be expecting a lot out of that duo this year.

Metchie is good, but not a game breaker. We are going to need somebody to fill that role and I don’t know if they are on the roster yet. History says we will find a guy.

Jaden Walley could be up there somewhere, most definitely an honorable mention. All SEC Freshman Team. Kid has a bright future ahead of him. Should see a solid jump in year 2 with Rogers settling into Leach's offense.

I agree and disagree, I think his numbers were so high because Rogers felt so comfortable with him. Walley is definitely a baller, but I would think Rogers may become more comfortable with a few other receivers next year. I expect to see a big uptick in Griffin's production.

I was completely wrong on Burton. I thought with UGA offense he wouldn’t fit in and be misused. But now I think I Burton could really thrive. Since I think he’s mostly in the slot and Pickens on the outside?

Really good 2 WRs there.

It will have to come from one of the incoming freshmen. The guys on the current roster are a huge drop from what they've had the last 6 - 8 years.

I get the feeling someone other than Metchie will step up for Bama next year. He just doesnt have the same feel to him that Jeudy, Smith, Waddle had. Certainly a good receiver in his own right but it wouldn't surprise me if a new name from Bama came on strong and is their leading receiver next year. They've certainly recruited enough talent there.

There's definitely enough talent there for someone to do so, but that doesn't always translate. We've been entirely too blessed at that position as of late; feels like anyone will end up feeling like step down regardless of how good.

Would you guys like to continue this series? Maybe to the defensive side of the ball?

Burton mostly plays slot but he can play outside too.

He’s probably gonna have to play outside more because we are stacked at the slot right now

Kearis Jackson- Leading receiver in 2020 (although Pickens missed 3 games)

Dominick Blaylock- 310 yards, 5 TDs as a true freshman in our 2019 offense. Tore his ACL this year

Arian Smith- Fastest guy on the team. Was injured to start the year and got 86 yards and a TD in the last two games of the year. True freshman.

So yeah, that’ll be interesting.

I'm being a pessimist, but I feel like Blaylock will never play a major role in our offense again. I remember there were rumors of him hanging up the cleats after his second ACL tear. I hope he surprises me, but I wouldn't count on him being a contributer

I never heard this. In fact, when the news broke, I read he was pushing really hard.

There’s no reason he can’t be a contributor. 310 yards and 5 TDs in our 2019 joke of an offense as a true freshman is nothing to sneeze at. Don’t forget he ended up being our punt returner as well.

Burks would be #1 if he was playing for a Bama or Georgia. He’s going to get knocked down because most folks here haven’t sent him play outside of directly against their team. He’s a legit NFL WR which is rare to see at Arkansas.

I'd argue Burks is the most talented Arkansas football player since Darren McFadden. The other guys I'd consider are pre injury Greg Childs and Trey Flowers.

Not saying you're wrong because I wouldn't be surprised if we see a freshman eventually become the #1 guy by season's end, but Metchie played hurt all year. We'll see if his success this year was due to the being #2 opposite Smith.

Agreed. Put him on those 2010 and 2011 teams and he’s a first round lock and up for the Biletnikoff.
