Jones
Mond
Nix
Brennan
Schrader
Franks
Corral

Depending on how things shake out I could see Brennan move up and mond move down. Depends on how Brennan messes with this offenses and if mond can play like a 4th year QB with the most experience.

Won't the State QB be high on the list by default? Leach QB has video game numbers year in and year out.

Rank the returning receiving corps and offensive lines, then I can make an informed list.

Are we actually ranking QB's or ranking them with the surrounding teammates included?

Look at it this way.

Joe Burrow had a magical season... truly magical. He had 5,671 yards passing in 15 games. Anthony Gordon (who?) had 5,579 yards passing in 13 games.

Are we sure half of these guys are actually going to be starting for their teams?

The difference is Anthony Gordon averaged 53 passes per game. Joe Burrow averaged 35 passes per game.

Total yards is pretty insignificant. Washington State averaged 505 YPG and 437 YPG of that were passing. That's 87%.

71 plays per game, 53 passes per game. That's 75%.

So, when you throw the ball 3/4 of your plays your passing yardage is obviously going to be higher than most everyone else who at most passes 65-70% of the time (most more like 55-60%).

Can’t believe none of y’all think Plumlee will start for OM?

Franks should be last on everyone's list. Dude is hot garbage.

If Kiffin can make Blake Sims into a decent/good QB, then Plumlee is in line for a big season

I think you are losing the point. This thread is about ranking SEC QB's. There was a comment about video game numbers in Leach's offense regardless of the QB. I provided evidence to back up that comment. I only tossed in the Burrow reference to give some perspective to how many yards Gordon had.

I mean, I think Nix has the potential to be one the better Auburn QBs in school history by the time he leaves, but putting him at #2/#3ish in 2020? I would be very happy with that result...

Sims was a much better passer than Plumlee was last year. That said, Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow improved greatly over 4 years, so maybe Plumlee can too.

I know I don’t get people who think Corral is worth half a shite. Dude sucks. Him, Mond, Brennan and schrader would be my bottom 4 qb’s in the west. We haven’t seen much of Brennan so I put him in the bottom by default.

Jones did it with the best WR Corp in CF. He under threw as many passes as he completed, but the WRs either had such a wide gap or they adjusted to make the catch. They took short passes and padded his stats.

1. Jones
2. Nix
3. Franks (better version of Mond)
4. Corral/Plumlee (I like both)
5. Mond
6. Shrader
7. Brennan

I think Nix might be better than Jones but Mac has significantly better weapons at his disposal than Nix so I'm not sure we'll ever get a true side by side comparison.

Mond is the most overrated QB in the country. His stats are decent but he doesn't start amassing stats until his team is down 4 TD's.
