Ewers strikes me as a guy whose career goal is the get paid a lot of money to hold a clip board and never play.

Southlake Carroll already produced one of those. Chase Daniel. Dude probably made over $30M in the NFL and threw something like 7 TDs his whole career. I can think of worse ways to make a living.

The Colt McCoy career path. Stay in the NFL for a decade or so playing backup all while making 8 figures over that span and you get to retire with an intact brain that isn't ate up with CTE.
