Next year Nutt solved our QB conundrums by starting Johnson, who bombed, then riding Mustain for an 8 game winning streak before making the bold decision that winning 8 games in a row was probably communist and starting Dick in his place.

What he said was that we were nationally ranked and in competition for the SEC title (as I recall). So we needed to make the switch to a proven QB with big game experience.

And it kind of worked in that we won two more games after that before losing to LSU. And then losing to Florida. And then losing to Wisconsin.

What really happened is that Nutt (who had always called his own plays even though he is an arse weasel) got sideways with Malzahn (who is an arse weasel but good at calling plays) and the two of them melted down one of the best Arkansas teams in the last 20 years.

2014 - Nathan Peterman's stats in his start against Florida...

4/11 - 5 yards - 0 tds - 2 ints. So...he threw for 5 yards for the UT offense...but Florida had 30 yards on one of his interceptions.

Pretty sure Jordan Jefferson won an SEC title game with those kind of stats.

shite man, Alabama posts those numbers like they are the worst ever. We look at those and go, “Eh, I’ve seen worse first half’s.”

He was above average at Pitt. Not great or even good but above average, and he flashed a lot of tools at pro days and I think the senior bowl maybe.

Career completion percentage: 52%
Total passing yards: 548
Total TDs: 3
Total INTs: 12
Career QB rating: 32.5

Maybe he's just really good at carrying a clipboard.

Do ya'll remember when the coach called a QB dive for Tyson Lee on 4th and 1 against LSU on the 2 yard line? I do. dumbest call i've ever seen.

Robert Johnson. Started the season Houston nutt ended up winning 10 games and was an LSU victory and Reggie fish muffed punt away from a national title. He was so bad at an in his one game as a starter vs usc he got moved to receiver

Look up Jay Barker's stats when Alabama beat Miami. 4/13 for 18 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.

Skyler Mornhinweg

This. At least guys like Brantley, Driskel, and Treon were blue chippers. Skyler was ONLY on the team because Muschamp was buddies with his dad. Even worse is we passed on Paxton Lynch.
