For LSU, I think the obvious choice here should be Andrew Hatch, at least in recent memory. Even though he wasn’t very good, he actually was 3-0 as a starter if I remember correctly.

Perry Orth should have never seen the field, as nice as he is.

And he wasn’t awful either. But a walk on QB on a Spurrier coached team? Hard to fathom

Mike Hennig. Had no business being a d-1 or d-2 qb but wound up starting for us on a Thursday night game against #1 LSU on national tv. Proceeded to throw 6 or 7 picks and we lost 49 or 52 to 0. That dude was fricking awful and I felt bad for him. He got lit the frick up

Oh yeah. How many plates ended up screwed into his collarbones? I honestly feared for his safety

Pretty sure Jordan Jefferson won an SEC title game with those kind of stats.

Tyson Lee he was 5'6 inches tall if that. Tough sumbitch but not sure how he saw through the line. I think teams just thought he was the waterboy and didn't realize the play had started.

That 66-yard run though.

5/13, 30 yards, 1 TD, 83.2 QB Rating

Very similar to McElroy's broken rib National Title game line vs Texas

6/11, 58 yards, 0 TD, 98.8 QB Rating

Cox gets way too much of a bad wrap, IMO. No he's not one of the best QBS we've ever had but he truly wasn't that bad either. 2600 yards and 24 TDs isn't too shabby, not to mention his OL consisted of hte likes of chris davis, vince vance, and others that wouldn't even be 2nd string today.

As for JT3, he was always only going to be the placeholder for stafford. He was a SR while staff was a TFr and on paper we didn't have a game we should have had trouble with until like game 6. Of course JT3 got hurt at the beginning of game 2 which complicated things but I can at least undersatnd why he was starting.

Yea - Cox was the definition of an average QB. If he'd been the QB on the UGA teams of the last 2 years I'm guessing he'd basically be JP Wilson or Greg McElroy.

Hell he was basically Greg McElroy stat wise in 2009 outside of having more INTs (which is understandable given he was behind more and under stress more).
