Meh..Buckeyes are better than Texas.

Oregon should be ahead of FSU but they won’t do that.

Conference championships decide the four. What the first round of playoffs should be.

IF this plays out then you know beyond a shadow of a doubt we're not getting in, even with a win over Georgia.

There are 5 conference championships
Bama/UGA
Oregon/washington

Texas
Michigan
FSU

So assuming Texas and Bama wins, who goes. How do you leave the SEC out?

They’ve already laid the groundwork to leave the SEC out with the Oregon at 6 ranking despite a terrible resume when compared to TX and Bama. Media wants the P12 to have a rep this year no matter what.

Isn't there a real possibility Bama could play OSU in a NY6 bowl?

FIFY

The undefeated teams would all make it, so if UGA, Michigan, and FSU all hold serve then there's your first 3.

Oregon's win over one loss Washington would trump Texas's win over 2-loss Bama, and obviously if Washington wins then there's your fourth and I think if four undefeated teams come out of next weekend that would be the least debatable.

Now to your question about Bama/Texas, if Bama wins I think they would have to have Texas or FSU lose to get in. If they win convincingly, they just might leap frog Oregon, esp if that title game is close.

Bama wins and they're in.

The powers that be will have a problem on their hands if Iowa beats Michigan.

...and they could.

Ohio State won't fall past 6th. Think most on the committee thing they are better than the longhorns

I doubt OSU falls below Oregon.

It would take a miracle for Bama to get in at this point

Honestly, our necessary scenario remains unchanged.

A win over Georgia leapfrogs us over an Ohio State team with no conference championship, but we still need Texas and FSU to lose. Those are the most likely paths to the playoffs.

Agreed. Both of our teams need multiple losses ahead of us. No offense but I think Alabama leapfrogs Ohio State with a win over Georgia. We need Alabama, Texas and FSU to lose. Oregon/Washington obviously takes care of itself.

Iowa's defense is strong, but they can't score any points against anyone.
Michigan is guaranteed a spot.

Georgia’s not losing to Bama.
1. Georgia

Michigan is not losing to Iowa
2. Michigan

3. Washington/Oregon winner

4. Goes to FSU with a win. If FSU loses then the fun begins.

Based on what? They haven’t been dominate with their cornfed schedule. You giving them that much credit for the Notre Dame win?
