With A&M's more recent success in the major sports, along with the rise in track, golf tennis volleyball softball, this is poised to be one of the top across-the-board rivalries for quite a while.
I also love the cross-border rivalries, althiugh i think LSU/A&M tops OU/Texas which is more of a football-only thing.
It's nice to have the LSU thing back regular- a lot of peoole dont understand how old this connection really is.
And last i should memtion Arkansas- that is still a great cross-border rivalry for both A&m and Texas.

Are fans differ in opinion but to me
1. Hated absolutely- Georgia, Miami
2. Hate a ton- Auburn, Ohio State(not a traditional rivalry but frick them)
3. Hate- UK and Tenn
4. Dislike - Tenn, Alabama,(UCONN)
5- Do not hate- LSU, USF, UCF

This intro has always been my favorite and sums up TSIO. Lost this game cause fat Freddie Kitchens kept throwing picks in the second half when Bamas defense was playing very well against Manning. My SR of high school. Was very frustrating, but the into is spot on.
"Along the banks of the Tennessee River, the Crimson Tide has rolled into Knoxville". How even the intros back in the day were glorious and got you pumped compared to....now.

All I can say is I really like beating them in more than just football

All I know is that Texas and Oklahoma is pretty big in all sports as well.
Texas sold out their arena for OU WOMEN'S basketball. You guys sell out men's basketball every year that OU is in town. And softball is crazy on both sides.
OU doesn't sell out for Texas for men's basketball... but would if we were any good. Best crowds for baseball for anybody but OSU when Texas comes to Norman.
I won't argue that LSU/A&M might be a bigger deal in non football sports... but Oklahoma and Texas is not "just" football.

Get back to me when the Texas media calls it the "OU-Texas" game as opposed to "Texas-OU". LOL. I say this because a place that was truly neutral would follow the journalistic standard where you list the home team last. But it is always "Texas-OU"...In print media, on TV-Radio...everywhere.
Even on the street with regular people... It's always "Texas-OU". Because they are in Texas and Texas takes preference.
In Oklahoma, it is OU-Texas in the same way.
There is a huge OU presence in DFW, but DFW still has that hard core old school Texas loyalty underneath it all... and the the people who aren't Longhorns down there probably split. Some of them hate Texas more. Some hate OU more.

I do not think Georgia nor Florida consider each other the main rival...the frick are you talking about
Florida fans would prob have FSU and Miami as 1 and 2
