I would say this category applies to Auburn also, because Tennessee is Alabama's main rival.

You're talking about a 15 year window not the totality of football. If totality, it's Ole Miss by a mile.
As a long time LSU fan,...

Not really. LSU looks at Ole Miss something along the lines of Tulane. They hate us and we hate losing to them, but they never beat us enough to merit serious respect.
I know, same can be said for LSU-Bama.

LSU tends to view Auburn, Florida, and to a lesser extent UGA as fiercely competitive, equal matchups, but the hate isn't there.

So in a nutshell, that's why LSU doesn't really have a rival. Teams that hate us dont win enough, and we dont beat the teams we hate enough.

You are definitely wrong about Miss state. And probably USC. Probably the Washington and Oregon state schools as well

When bama fans sing their version of Dixie delight they mention Auburn, then lsu, then Tennessee (too) I always thought this is the real order of their rivals.

Alabama says frick LSU when they sing their song. They are a rival whether Gumps wanna admit it or not. Definitely lower than Auburn though.

When Texas A&M plays OU you won’t find a single Texas fan that would prefer for OU to win.

They are the main rival of Texas imo. Texas doesn’t like Aggy but it’s not a hatred and it’s not even really a dislike as we are both Texans. They are just icky.

Nobody will mention this one. But SMU fans consider TCU their main rival but TCU considers Baylor to be theirs.

Some, like me consider Tennessee as our biggest rival because the "Third Saturday in October" meant more rankings and standings wise when I was growing up. To me, losing to Auburn is like losing to your little brother...just annoying. Losing to Tennessee when I was growing up and the few losses we have to yall lately, was always devastating in terms of national and conference standings and rankings.

This is how Texas fans see OU fans, and Texas a&M is the Auburn in the equation. I never knew this, pretty interesting.

Not going to argue the "equation"... but the reason for it being the way it is is because of the fact that there are more Aggies(or Auburn fans) around to rub it in if they beat you than OU (or Tennessee fans).

I'm a little different on it simply because OU plays Texas IN Texas every year.

The experience in Dallas is different for OU fans than it is for Texas fans. If Texas loses... their fans just blend into Dallas or head back to Austin.

When OU loses... you catch a ton of grief in Dallas after the game because your Oklahoma plates make you a target. And Texas fans harass OU fans with signs on overpasses or sit by the road and flash you the Hook 'em as you drive back to Oklahoma.

I'd rather catch grief at the office from OSU fans or OSU family members than go through that. Although I have many times.

The harassment and the pro Texas bias in DFW in the media and around town are the two things that kind of suck for OU fans playing down there... but it is to be expected.

SC-UGA would probably be widely considered our main out of state rival, but they would see Auburn, UT, and UF as bigger out of state rivals.

Most SC fans don't think this way anymore. It's more UNC than UGA. There was only slight animosity under Spurrier. I don't consider UGA a rival at all.

LSU fans won't admit they have rivals. But it seems like they really dislike Bama and just don't want to deal with the fact that Bama fans will always focus on Tennessee and Auburn more than LSU

According to that link this is fact. LSU fans consider Alabama their top rival. Alabama fans consider LSU a distant third behind Auburn and then Tennessee. 50% of LSU fans consider Alabama their biggest rival, 15% of Alabama fans consider LSU their biggest rival.

Eh, Texas and OU is pretty damn close to being 50/50 in Dallas. Yeah, they got the overpass trash talk, but other than that, I wouldn’t say it’s outrageously pro Texas…now if the game was held in Houston, different story..

I have been an LSU fan since I was 9 in 1960.

LSU has not had a primary rival since Tulane in the 1900s-1950s.

LSU and Ole Miss were rivals in the late 1950s through the early 1970s.

From the 1970s on the best SEC teams LSU played every year (in fball) were Bama, Auburn, and Florida, but those games were never like traditional rivalries. LSU just wanted to win more because those were the best teams we played every season.

Of those three, the number of posts about LSU is dead even.

Just kidding.
Bama posters sure do quite a lot of LSU OPs even though “we aren’t on their mind”.

Are there even 10 Auburn fans left?

Talking shite here about Auburn is like screaming into the void.

And end it.

Does anyone consider LSU or aggy as their main rival?

Aggies are way more entertaining, so there's just a lot more to talk about. OU fans are pretty normal. If somebody asks you to tell them about your neighbor and your neighbor is David Koresh, it's going to be a long thread.
