Maybe for just a few, but for anyone born in the 1960s or later, it's Auburn and it's not even close, except for maybe those Bama fans who live near an abundance of VFLs.
I mean, the last time Auburn and Bama didn't play was 1947 - 79 years ago.

Bama fans my age bracket(40s) and older, are split on who they despise the most. Some, like me consider Tennessee as our biggest rival because the "Third Saturday in October" meant more rankings and standings wise when I was growing up. To me, losing to Auburn is like losing to your little brother...just annoying. Losing to Tennessee when I was growing up and the few losses we have to yall lately, was always devastating in terms of national and conference standings and rankings.
The TSIO has a lot of vitriol, but Bama winning 17 straight games really neutralized it.

But growing up as a kid in the 80s and teenager in the 90s, TSIO, meant more in terms of national prestige imo(a few times the Iron bowl was between top ten teams during that but not like TSIO) and I developed more "hatred" for Tenner during that time.

Aggie doesn’t think of them as rivals
They keep begging us to be rivals
They keep begging us to be rivals

Like it is fun for us to downplay LSU as well. Makes them crazy.

Both games had the same amount of ranked v. ranked matchups in 1980s and 1990s. This is not to mention when Bama and Auburn came into the game ranked v. ranked, it was the final game of the regular season.
TSIO Ranked v. Ranked Matchups in the 1980s and 1990s
1985 - #20 Tennessee 16, #15 Alabama 14
1989 - #10 Alabama 47, #6 Tennessee 30
1991 - #14 Alabama 24, #8 Tennessee 19
1992 - #4 Alabama 17, #13 Tennessee 10
1993 - #10 Tennessee 17, #12 Alabama 17 (a tie!)
1995 - #6 Tennessee 41, #11 Alabama 14
1996 - #6 Tennessee 20, #7 Alabama 13
1999 - #5 Tennessee 21, #10 Alabama 7
Iron Bowl Ranked v. Ranked Matchups in the 1980s and 1990s
1983 - #3 Auburn 23, #19 Alabama 20
1986 - #14 Auburn 21, #7 Alabama 17
1987 - #7 Auburn 10, #18 Alabama 0
1988 - #7 Auburn 15, #17 Alabama 10
1989 - #11 Auburn 30, #2 Alabama 20

I never rejected the Missouri rivalry, I think you're the most natural rival we have at this point.
The problem with teams like Arkansas is we have no power conference in-state rival to have built all this storied history with. Arkansas, Missouri, and LSU are the only three SEC teams who don't have that, and LSU is a charter member of the conference, so they have a lot of backstory with a lot of teams. So for us it becomes teams we share a border with, or "what team has pissed us off the most recently," and the problem with that one is if you're not consistently competitive, the team you're pissed at doesn't take you seriously. Back when we were in the SWC our hatred for Texas could be taken more seriously. Then we stopped playing them regularly and football fell off a cliff.
The football series between Mizzou and Arkansas has become lopsided, but the game is basically always settled by one score or less. We just keep coming out on the wrong side of it. You don't really care about baseball, and you keep fricking up basketball hires the same way we keep fricking up football hires, so basketball isn't as fierce of a rivalry as it could be.
There are a lot of similarities between us and Missouri, though. And ARMOgeddon is the coolest rivalry name in the conference, even if the competition itself is usually a slap-off between two barely functional retards.

There is no team an Alabama fan wants to beat worse than Tennessee. There is no team an Alabama fan hates to lose to more than Auburn.

It always seemed like the TSIO meant more rankings and standings wise during that time. Then again, I was a kid back then so....my father despises Auburn more but i've always despised(but LOVE the rivalry, wouldnt be college football without) Tennessee more.

And I've always liked the "Red River Shootout" because OU-Texas=Bama-Tennessee(Third Saturday in October). Crimson vs Orange, long history, border rivals etc.

Georgia Tech - Georgia
- Georgia's - Florida
Probably depends on who the majority of fans are around you. When I lived in the Savannah area(2018-25) uga fans directed a lot of animosity towards bama and Clemson when talking football but gt fans were non existent at the bar scene and while I saw tons of cars with auburn logos but never anyone wearing gear. Bama made sense bc at the time they were the barrier keeping uga from the top. Clem was surprising as they’ve never really been a thorn in ugas side.

Ole Miss really has 3 main rivals.
LSU
MSU
Arkansas
All of these are old, heated rivalries.
It's a crying shame the SEC killed the annual game vs Arkansas.

USC's biggest rival is UCLA, not Notre Dame, especially across all sports.

Arkansas seems to consider Texas or LSU their main rival, but it seems like they are tertiary for Texas and not really rivals at all for LSU. Which makes it all the stranger to me that Arkansas fans make such a point to resist the Mizzou game. Seems like they could use a good rivalry game or two.
You can’t force these things. We’ve never had a meaningful game against Missouri. Most Arkansas fans have long checked out by the last game of the year. And our players are beat up and demoralized by that point. It honestly would probably be a better game if it was the season opener.
