exactly. Even though I don't LIKE that all this is happening, I'd at least be content with the 3/6 for the reasons you mentioned. History is preserved and you get a bunch of new teams rotating, it's honestly a win/win for fans, schools, the league, TV, everyone. I can't envision a downside.

It's a massive improvement over the current scheduling, which has Mizzou in the East for some damn reason, and schools only see cross-divisional opponents once every seven years.

Fixed that last one for you.

Makes sense. I chose OU because Pittboss stated at Media Days that Arkansas wants Mizzou, Texas, and OU. You'll have to take it up with the HC.

Thanks, I tried. Tricky to maintain rivalries and balance power. No matter how you shift these around, you are going to lose some annual games that schools would like to keep.

Don't see us getting LSU as a permanent game. I think it will be Georgia, TN and either SC or KY most likely. A few people made a case for us getting Oklahoma instead of TN though if they are going to balance out these schedules with traditionally better teams playing the traditionally better teams more than the other teams do.

This is the most correct answer. I also accept Kentucky on this list.

State is right down the road and has been played yearly forever.

Something a lot of people forget - Alabama and Mississippi State are the two physically close campuses in the SEC. Closer than schools that share the same state.

Here’s the best I could come up with:

1. Mizzou: Arkansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina
2. Arkansas: Mizzou, Texas, Oklahoma
3. Oklahoma: Texas, Mizzou, Arkansas
4. Texas: Oklahoma, A&M, Arkansas
5. A&M: LSU, Texas, Miss St
6. LSU: A&M, Ole Miss, Florida
7. Ole Miss: Miss St, LSU, Alabama
8. Miss St: Ole Miss, A&M, Auburn
9. Alabama: Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss
10. Auburn: Alabama, Georgia, Miss St
11. Vandy: South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee
12. Tennessee: Kentucky, Alabama, Vandy
13. Kentucky: Tennessee, Vandy, Florida
14. South Carolina: Vandy, Georgia, Mizzou
15. Georgia: Florida, Auburn, South Carolina
16. Florida: Georgia, LSU, Kentucky

I think that works.

As an LSU fan- A&M, Ole Miss, Florida... I can live with that. An historic rival (Ole Miss- decades of lore), a more recent important rival (Florida- great battles for the SEC and Natty not that long ago), and one of the expansion teams (A&M- a team LSU has had some good rivalry with prior to them joining the SEC).

Maybe swap the Mississippi schools? I think State wants to play Alabama, and Bama prefers State due to proximity.

Ole Miss... not sure either Alabama or Auburn would make a difference, but they have to take one.

I thought about swapping South Carolina for Kentucky, and then Florida and South Carolina could play each other annually. That would make more sense from a travel perspective, at the very least.

Yea, could easily swap it to Bama-MSU and Auburn-Ole Miss. I'll plead ignorance on that one, I didn't realize those schools would prefer the match-ups to be that way.

With the 3 and 6 format you will be playing everyone 2 times over a 4 yr span. Better. Sanky has said that is the goal. Everyone will have a tough schedule every year no matter the perminates. If Ky/TN or Lsu/ Fl only happens every other year so be it.

There are some historic rivalries on the table.

Auburn - Georgia has the longest running rivalry in the South.

Then there is the traditional Georgia - Florida game in Jacksonville.

There are several border and bowl trophies involved as well.

What will happen with the LSU - Arkansas boot?
