As long as Bama keeps recruiting at a high level ... and they always have for the most part - Bama will be a tough out.
Will they ever fall-off? Sure they will. It's happened before it'll happen again.
Saban has them on a solid track for the foreseeable future though, even after he leaves they'll hire from within, a CIW, and while they may drop-off some they'll still be above average.
Now, the league is getting more competitive ... but still.
I don't see them being busted for recruiting violations anytime soon.

B
I can’t see Saban ever having another season with less than 10 wins, it’s just not going to happen.

Mortality. Saban will not live forever.
Could be 20-40 year stretch before they land another GOAT level coach like the Bear and Saban
Sprinkle in a ship or two due to resources, but this kind of run is only possible by a select few
Enjoy the hell out of it while it lasts Bama, I sure would. You’ll still probably be a top 5 caliber program for most stretches, but this current one is truly special

Saban retires and they hire a coach like Shula or Dubose or Orgeron.
Honestly, it's hard to see them taking a step back with the current administration. Even if Saban retires in a couple years. They won't settle for an Ed Orgeron type coach.

It will be hard to follow Saban. Expectations will have to be reset. But, any down cycle doesn't have to last more than 1 coach. All the advantages that Saban had with facilities, south central location, administrative support, and reputation will still be strong.

Or, we could hire another great coach right off the bat when we hired Frank Thomas.

How would you define a decline? Pretty easy to decline when there’s nowhere to go but down...
