I feel sorry for the coach who is hired right after Saban.

I feel sorry for whoever has to replace Saban.
They will likely when another title on talent alone but that poor coach is going to be held to an impossible standard.

1. Kim Jong Un sends a nuclear warhead towards Guam, accidentally misses mark and lands in Tuscaloosa.

2. Saban gets tired of Ms. Saban and cheats on her with Santa Clause's wife forcing early retirement

3. Alabama brings an actual elephant to the sideline next year and it runs over the entire team

4. Due to global warming, the tide literally rolls over Tuscaloosa and the entire city sinks into the ocean.

I know, right. Guy will be handed likely one of the top 3 rosters in college football, will have every facility factor you could ask for, history & tradition, and all while being paid $8M+.

It wouldn't be fair to put that on anyone.

I don't agree with that. If Bama had a harder schedule down the stretch this season, it would have been totally different considering the injuries that plagued their LBs. They were so thin. I wouldn't call it luck, but they were fortunate to have that one month gap to revamp prior to playing more top 10 teams.

Agree with you that the schedule played out in Bama's favor. However what are the odds that any team has that particular problem again? The only reason why Alabama did not collapse is due to depth.

Very low. Bama can weather injuries better than anyone.

The current Bama dynasty is similar to that of UCLA basketball under John Wooden. Wooden's accomplishments may never be equaled. Saban's might not either.

UCLA's dynasty declined after Wooden retired. Bama's dynasty won't stop until Saban has finished his career.

If the NCAA would have the balls to investigate I think it would be C.

People don’t seem to understand that it isn’t any of these things. He has changed over the years - the same (albeit perfectly played) formula doesn’t beat Bama - the guy is flexible. The only answer is Saban retiring and/or growing senile.

One of two things happens:

Dabo forgets the way home or Phil Fulmer gets us on trumped up allegations.

Seriously, if coach Saban manages his departure the same way he manages everything else, it could be a seamless transition, but no one should expect anybody to come in here and match what CNS has done. This kind of coach doesn't come along often. It was what ? 51 years between Bryant and Saban.
