And their fanbase typically has low football IQ. At least, my interactions with their fans tend to show this perception.

They went on a 2 decade run with the guy who built our program. They can have a few or many years of misery

I do not see any possible way they clean up DeBoer’s mess in the next 10 years. He won’t get canned til 2028 at least, and all his players would have to transfer. Complete overhaul.

I have multiple reasons:

Then...

The Mulligan Title
The 2008 OT win over LSU in Tiger Stadium
The 2012 heartbreaking win over LSU in Tiger Stadium
And every other damn time Saban raised the tophy high in the air knowing LSU let him slip away

I respect Alabama and what they were able to accomplish under Nick Saban, but frick Alabama.

Joe Adams being called “down” by a supposed sliver of his wrist.

We don’t give a damn about the whole state of Alabama, the whole state of Alabama, the whole state of Alabama.

We don’t give a damn about the whole state of Alabama. We’re from Tennessee.

Nebraska and USC have bounced back just fine

Nebraska's issue was their local recruiting base couldn't keep up with the arms race that started in the 2000s. Maybe they can NIL their way out of it, but Alabama won't struggle with recruiting or NIL. There's quite literally no acceptable excuse for a team one full year removed from Nick Saban to lose to a team that just went 2–10 the previous year. This is squandering on a level deeper than John L. Smith.

This is apparently blocking in the back:

Same game:
First, on Alabama’s initial drive, Damien Harris clearly fumbled the ball before his knee hit the ground. It was recovered by Mississippi State. He was ruled down but everyone in college football world was waiting for the official review which would have overruled the play and award the ball to Mississippi State. The call for review never came, and Damien Harris opened a 7-0 lead on a 1-yard touchdown run.

Same game:
LINK ]The Tide made it 14-0 later in the first quarter after a 13-play, 83-yard scoring drive. There was another potential fumble from tight end Irv Smith Jr., but the officials blew the play dead.

Oh yea. Zero penalties for zero yards for the tide.

That’s just 2018.

An AU program would just claim them anyway.

As far as 2017: refs cost MSU the game more than likely:

Ridley runs OOB and is guilty of illegal touching. Hat thrown. Touchdown counts. Ref comes back and randomly picks his hat back up. Game goes on.

Cost MSU the citrus bowl that year. There is many more but you get the point.

So yea. Cry Bama.

My program? What is there to like about those hubris-ridden football know-it-alls who may now be receiving their just desserts? Once again, may their "program" wander in CFB wilderness for the next half century, assuming CFB is around that long. Hallelujah!
