Maybe if they scheduled better OOC opponents than the citadel, ULM and ULL they would have made it. We all bitch when a undefeated team that doesn't play in the SEC gets in but that year it went the other way. Had they scheduled any 25 - 50 ranked team instead of the citadel they are in. fricking deal with it already.
They also got shut out by USC the year before. You can argue that the previous year shouldn't matter, but in many eyes, it does. Plus the SEC wasn't running shite at that time.

It's a shame to go undefeated in a major conference and get left out of the title game. But that's what the BCS was created to do - put the two best teams together. The two best teams up to that point, based on a combination of voters' perceptions and computer polls, ended up in the BCS title game.
Oklahoma's weak showing doesn't negate the process that got them there. 2011 LSU was probably the most accomplished and deserving participant in the BCS era. The fact that they were soundly beaten by Alabama doesn't somehow mean that Oklahoma State should have been there in their place.

Oh now Auburn is a victim of a conspiracy? Now I've heard it all
Take a huge risk by my having one quality OOC opponent. What looks better: USC vs Notre Dame or Auburn ULM?

Get real, it took a penalty which no one has ever seen to beat a mediocre visiting LSU team that year. Auburn fans are delusional to the max!!!!

Who said that? How moronic do you have to be to come to that conclusion out of what I posted?

You'd have to actually watch the games and not just like at box scores 10 years later.

Didn't originally schedule the Citadel. Bowling Green, which ended up 9-3, backed out of the game late and Citadel was the replacement.
Don't let the facts get in the way of the retard fantasies.
LSU fans just mad that team accomplished something 99% of their fans have never seen in their lifetime.

Think he just looks at box scores.
Nevermimd the fact Beamer himself said AU was the better team after playing both.
Only real question is are they the beat team of the BCS era.

Not only were we forced to put the Citadel on the schedule because BGSU backed out, but BGSU went on to be put on Oklahoma's schedule and helped them out with SOS over us.

If you want to do some digging, you can find that all mighty USC also struggled hard core with some flat out bad teams in 2004. People forget about that because of the huge Oklahoma win.

And they would loss to all of the BCS Champions other than maybe 2007 LSU.
Tubbs is such a fricking has been now just like that 04 team that no one remembers or talks about but him and a few Auburn internet message board posters.

You will never get over the emotional scars he inflicted upon you.
There is no telling the amount of physical abuse your wife suffered those 6 long years and I'm sure the property damage to your trailer was in the 10's of dollars.

Lot of speculation in that response. What we know is even though the media said look at this shiny nickel (USCw) that the real talent was the old crinkled up $20 bill (Auburn). Auburn wins.
Thanks for that clarification. Thank God you were able to help us stop speculating and focus on irrefutable analogies. I never even considered the shiny nickle and crumpled $20 bill angle. Excellent point.

The 2004 Auburn team would beat any Bama team in the last 10 years by at least 10 pts.
Especially when you consider the weak schedules those Bama teams played against. With the exception of maybe the 2009 team, We'll never really know how good those Bama teams were due to the level of competition they faced

I would say this is a troll, but with the amount of times this is repeated I can't be sure.

Sane, rational and easily quantified post.
But could they have beaten the 10' or 13' team?
