I dont care if they come or not.

I do care that UGA plays GT, UF, and Auburn every year.
I do care that we can schedule Clemson 2+ times a decade.
I do care that the SEC has a conference championship game.

If you guarantee all of the above, i dont care if we admit the dallas cowboys. Im fine with it.

Some of ypu retreads here would rather the SEC to expand with NC State and Louisville or some other loser combination. Grow a pair and get ready for some fun games in the future.

Then go for FSU, Georgia Tech, and/or Clemson!

I would agree to admit Oklahoma. Texas can rot in hell, they're a cancer and destroyed the old SWC and now the Big 12

I hope the SEC is wise enough to understand TX is not coming to the SEC to exist as an equal member, they will eventually want to call the shots.

Should have done that instead of Missouri.
I take that back. Missouri has been ok.
Disappointing in basketball. I expected much more on the hardcourt.

Separate the poll. Most wanted Oklahoma. Many don't want texas. Texas is a horrible cultural fit. Full of liberals. They belong with the Pac 12. The fans are obnoxious. They cry if you do horns down. A&M, Missouri, Nebraska, and Colorado loathe them for a reason. Worst possible conference members. The know how to manipulate a conference. They're drooling at the chance to manipulate the SEC and laugh about it. They always put down the SEC and The South. Always said they were too good for the SEC when A&M left. A&M hicks are a perfect fit for The SEC inbreeds.
The smart move would be to take Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. State has lots of Natties. Their fans are rabid. Oklahoma is going to run into lots of legal problems leaving State behind.
The best part would be giving the horns a massive middle finger by the entire SEC. Split the poll.
Don't forget that A&M brought every SEC school multi millions annually when they came on board. Do you want a few more million for cancer??? Apparently many of you do. Oklahoma yes. horns hell no!

Yes OU but UTA can rot.

Living in Texas, the SEC has NO idea the trouble they're gonna bring.

LSU and 100% want them to join. Would love to battle it out more frequently with them.

Hey, Chicken,

Can you add a "frick, No" option.

Also, I volunteer my services as moderator of the new Longhorn board, should the deal go through.

You're going with this as your argument against Texas? Too many liberals? Have you been under a rock for the past several years and missed the fact that many schools currently in this conference are full of liberals, LSU in particular?

Demographics killed the SWC and Big 12. When you’re that reliant on 1 state, it’s tough to compete with conferences with a larger footprint. The largest market in the Big 12 outside of the Texas cities? Kansas City

Unfortunately, Texas’ previous leadership either did not see this or see beyond the LHN dollars. We also had persons in leadership that cared zero about sports and would rather be in the PAC 12 so they could see their Berkeley buddies more.

What’s great about the potential new SEC is you now have the flagship institutions in 2/3 most populous states in the US. This is a no doubter.

Texas has no chance to “kill” a setup like this. We’re just happy to be part of the club.
