OP seems to be a life long bama fan so I'm sure he has plenty of names from that institution.

Cam Newton and Patrick Peterson on the field at the same time was a sight to behold.

In no particular order for basketball:

Rudy Macklin
Ethan Partin
Greg Cook
DeWayne Scales
Howard Carter
Willie Simms
John Tudor
Geert Hammink
Derrick Taylor
Chris Jackson
Shaquille

and...

Jose Vargas

Honorable mentions (and the only non-LSU players I'd include) : Kyle Macy and Rick Robey from Kentucky

I would have included Pistol Pete, but I'm too young to remember seeing him play in college.

When Pete Maravich holds the arena record for most points in a game, it's time to build a new arena. Looking at you, Greg Byrne.

Saw Chaz a few weekends ago, had to jump out of the way when he went for my knee though.

In retrospect I also miss Steve Spurrier as Florida’s head coach, even though he was the bane of Alabama during the nineties and all Alabama fans wished he was gone at the time. But looking back, I recognize how much he did to influence the game. Plus, it was fun to have an archenemy. I still wish nothing but the worst for Phil Fulmer though.

I used to practice free throws for hours to try to shoot like Kyle Macy.

I'll stick with recent memory and say I will ALWAYS miss Bennett and Brock Bowers. Bowers is like Walker...a generational talent.

Bowers is a legend for sure but my favorite has been the 2021 Dawgs D. While they fell short imo I think they would've topped 2011 Bama if Adam Anderson had stayed on the field. He was such a missile and a threat, just constantly in the backfield wreaking havoc. The games before he fricked up featured the Georgia D I had dreamed about for years at that point.

Clemson, Auburn, & Arkansas among others all have full game & highlights on youtube for anyone who wants to watch
