Truer words were never spoken. He’s what Jim Rome used to call a “fish hack”.

It is becoming clear that high level coaches don’t want to deal with our Admin Antics. It makes no sense, givin our facilities, NIL and fanbase.

The bold part is the reason auburn is not as good of a job as you may think.

it'll not blow over. Every Mom in every living room of every recruit will hear about all of it, and there are reports of things still coming out about the guy

it makes perfect sense that good coaches don't want to come to Auburn considering things like the BOD and administration trying to sabotage their own coaches with things like the Clesi story.

And Auburn either doesn't have the NIL money to compete or those boosters won't spend it if they don't like the coach. Not sure which is worse but neither are good.

247 recruiting. Auburn #39

Phillip would know about being drunk and behind the wheel of a few cars in his lifetime ...

He wrote about that in the article, but I didn’t feel it was appropriate to bring it here. Clearly remorseful about it, but bizarre that he brought it up in defense of Freeze.

He brought it up as a reminder to AU people that Bamas DC got a DUI last year. He didn’t want to attack Golding, and I am not going to either, but his point is likely that with coaches, family members or co-workers, we all have to look the other way on stuff or the world would crumble. If the fans are gonna put their sanctimony above the best interest of the program be prepared for more of,the last 4 years.

Yeah it was a head scratcher.

I think Phillip finally “took the cure” a long time ago, which is to his credit, but I could tell you some stories that aren’t hearsay, I witnessed them personally.

Plus if you know the background of the Marshall family there’s some tragedy there.

That was not what the investigation was about, but doesn't matter, that is the perception that has been built. (Perception trumps Truth every time.).

So what names outside of a Lane Kiffin, Hugh Freeze is Auburn going to realistically get? Auburn does not like to go the assistant coach route (See UGA, it worked for them). USCe had a great hire, but he was an assistant. Arkie hired an O-line coach, our fans would go ballistic. Others went the lower school head coaching route. LSU, Bama and TAMU are the only schools that come to mind that hired successful Power 5 Coaches.

Lane F$%$ us for sure, I will pull for every team that plays him. I think we dodged a bullet in some ways. We offered him way more than he is worth.

I get that narrative but you can’t really compare Gus at Auburn to Hugh at OM.

Auburn has a lot more advantages over OM and its always been that way. Some of the worst coaches at Auburn have won more than the best coaches at OM.

Freeze offense is nothing like Gus, especially the passing game. He uses multiple reads from every level of,the defense in the pass game, Gus pretty much\ runs a one option route system, and doesn’t incorporate levels in his pass game.

I am not saying you’re wrong but just so you know, Kent Austin is running his offense at LU. It is not Hugh’s offense atm.

Good Lord. What kind of crowd does Marshall is hang around with?

I will say this about Phillip, he might not have many sources left, but of all the AU guys he might be the closest to the Good Ole Boys that we have. He didn’t put this out for shits and giggles

The GOBs use the golden pen with the thin skin when they see fit.
Mostly, he spins a lot of words to say: this might happen, or it might not.

Sex crimes against minors dont have a statute of limitations so any of those players that are down on their luck can come back and file charges then a law suit against freeze
