Jamarr Chase belongs on the list

They did offer this:
quote:
This is arguably the strongest offensive position in the conference. The SEC has produced bona fide NFL superstars such as Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson and A.J. Brown during this period. Even so, our three selections are the only SEC wide receivers to record at least 2,500 receiving yards while earning a PFF receiving grade above 90.0 during their college careers.
DeVonta Smith stands head and shoulders above the rest in nearly every category. He ended a 29-year drought of wide receivers winning the Heisman Trophy, and nobody comes within 700 yards of his career receiving total.
Nabers and Jeudy both paired elite production with dominant play. Nabers is the only receiver to rank among the top five in both missed tackles forced and contested catches over the past decade. The trio also ranks as the top three SEC wide receivers in receptions of 15 or more yards over the past decade.

You're telling me out of Malik Nabors, Justin Jefferson, and Jamar Chase, you're picking Malik Nabors? I love Nabors, but even he would disagree with this pick.

Devonta is a no brainer but I’d put multiple guys ahead of Jerry Jeudy. shite Jamarr had 700 fewer yds and only 1 less TD and he only played 2 seasons.

Devonta and Chase are no brainers - take your pick for 3rd between Jefferson, Malik, some bama guys, AJ Brown, etc.

AJ Brown is better than every receiver listed.

AJ Brown’s college career certainly was I agree. It should be Chase, Smith and Brown.

I would have thought Jalen Carter would be on there. I could also see a case for Devon White at LB.

Also Najee over Henry is that because of the timing? Can't remember when Henry left Bama. I'd take Chubb over Najee too if I'm actually picking players.

I guess maybe this depends on the defensive alignment. Taking 2 linebackers that weighed 230-235 pounds in college over defensive ends (Myles Garrett & Derek Barnett) that weighed between 265-275 in college is an interesting choice.

It's their grades averaged out for their career and pretty sure they adjust for the quality of throw in these PFF grades. The worse the throw, the better the WR grade when they catch it. I would bet Chase and Jefferson were on the receiving end of a lot more quality throws than Nabers. Daniels was great but he was not throwing it like Burrow.

Ja’marr Chase opted out his junior season. Quitting like that really hurt his college career stats. Career receptions, yards, TDs.
Devonta Smith: 235 catches, 3,965 yards, 46 TD
Malik Nabers: 189 catches, 3,003 yards, 21 TD
Jerry Jeudy: 159 catches, 2,742 yards, 26 TD
Justin Jefferson: 165 catches, 2,415 yards, 24 TD
Ja’marr Chase: 107 catches, 2,093 yards, 23 TD
Based on statistics they got it right.

Yes, Henry played until 2015; this list starts in 2016.
Najee probably gets past Chubb due to his 2020 season (presuming PFF's metrics).

Myles Garrett and Derek Barnett both played college football from 2014-2016. Hard to make an all decade list based on just one season.

I believe you're right; Chase's averages would put him near/at the top but his sample size is, by far, the smallest of that entire group.
