I’ve said it a hundred times. Do away with early signing day in December and this problem goes away. Kelly, Riley whoever could finish their obligation to their current team and LSU and others wouldn’t need to have a Ajax in place that quickly for an early recruiting class. It’s a simple fix without “going after” anyone.

This. Early signing day changed everything. Schools needed to adapt, so what happened is you have schools aggressively making moves during the season, and sometimes schools and players are going to get Notre Damed and OU’d.

This is the real world when you’re talking about $140M + revenue generating programs.

What do the players like to say? Business decision.

Shocked he had time to spend thinking of this with all the lgqfurbd+ issues, BLM support and calling people horrid humans for not getting the jab that he holds so dearly.

Did you just compare Brian Freaking Kelly to Saban?
You motherfrickers have lost it. This time last week you would have blasted a Kelly hire… yet this desperation hire is supposed to make the rest of the SEC melt?
Never change guys…

"...this kind of meaningless crap when we are on a one-way track to financial calamity as a nation?"

It is also funny that we are on our way to financial apocalypse, and yet we can throw millions to a bunch of primadonna football coaches and professional ball players to do something that most of us would do for free if we could. This nation has lost all sense of priorities and does not focus on important things. We are being led by morons and have liberal woke idiots teaching our kids at the university. And then we have clowns like this privileged puck from ND complaining about the very system his institution has contributed to cause.

I’ll repeat again, if this had been ND taking Saban and plundering Alabama’s coach nothing would be said except “brilliant move” by ND. It’s the double standard in the media that chaps everyone’s arse.

So when ND plunders Alabama's team, spending $50 million to steal Saban and have him coach ND for 3 years in order for ND to win a title, would Peter King or Brady Quinn be as upset and want the NCAA to go after ND?

I was with you until this stupid line

It may be over for some but not all. If they would just create a rule where teams have to wait till the second the NC game is over before talking to coaches head or assistant then that’s all you need.

They would have to change early signing period. Something like 80% of kids sign during this signing period, you can’t hamstring a staff like that by making them wait until AFTER this day to hire a coach.

Peter King's first mistake was wrongly assuming that anybody gives a damn what he wants. People in Hell want ice water - that shite ain't happening either.

Well, this is the first time this has ever happened, so they are understandable upset.

If ND wants a title really bad, don’t put it past them to attempt to get Saban at some point offering a ridiculous amount.

Well he is a cuck from Ohio, so I’d assume he was either an Ohio State or ND fan.

He a tard, is a free Enterprise market and he can go where he wants, and if any committed recruits or players on ND's roster that follow him via transfer portal is fine with me.

And Peter King would leave his job in a nanosecond for 10% of what a quality coach earns. This is America, a man can do whatever the hell he wants to do. Especially if it’s a opportunity of a lifetime.

It definitely isn’t a good look for a coach to leave possibly before playing in a NC game but there is nothing you can do about it short of a salary cap

It definitely isn’t a “good look” when the media doesn’t complain about Cincinnati and OU plundering a teams coach, but only chooses to when it happens to ND. What happened to the media looking out for the little guy?
