UGA compliance office, probably. Academic eligibility is pretty cut and dry, youre either eligible or you’re not. Not like you can fudge numbers for an incoming transfer.

ACC already dropped their intraconference rule. SEC will be voting to do the same within the next week or so, just a formality at this point

Haven't read any anecdotal pre-college history about this kids character but from everything I've read here & elsewhere about his attitude at LSU and his college football journey to UGA he seems like a flashing red-light problem. It only takes one kids bad attitude to ruin a teams chemistry. This kid has shown all the wrong signs for "team" success. He's still extremely young so immaturity may be the real root of the problem - but it looks & smells like his family is leaning early & hard on his pro potential - and neither he nor his family seem to give a shite about the success of the "team" he plays for. Kirby isn't the guy I'd put stock into handling this kind of kid.

I’m genuinely curious how he got eligible so quickly when all sources pointed toward him needing the entire summer to get to that point by the fall. Somehow he transfers to Georgia and he’s eligible June 1. Something just doesn’t add up. I’m thinking he still has work to do academically (and can get that done before the fall) given the same reports we’re coming out of Gainesville and LSU. They didn’t just make that stuff up.

They can’t. I’m all for Gilbert getting his shite together somewhere else. But he didn’t complete a single course at LSU. He’ll need to have 24 credit hours towards his major of choice before playing a snap.
Maybe UGA can get him there before fall. But he hasn’t done so yet.
