You don't join a team at the tail end of the season, 3 days before a game, and do that. If it was a male player who did something like that, it would not be received well by anyone. She hasn't gone through the grind of the season and years of football with the team. Everyone on the team knows she's there for publicity, and deep down in her heart she know it too. She needs to stay in her lane.

They didn’t quit because of the kicker. They quit because Vandy and their coaching staff is showing they care more about publicity points than the players.
Not to mention the fact that it’s extremely unfair to the kickers who are much better than her.

They are getting hell for her kicking it so short. She wants to show how far she can kick it. I guess we will see.

Your opinion is that a bunch of dudes who have been absolutely busting their asses for years to become D1 football players could learn something from some girl who shows up for like 3 days, talks shite to them for not being peppy enough when they're getting their asses beat, and then goes and brags about it to a reporter. fricking really? Yep. It doesn’t matter what gender you are or how long you’ve been somewhere. Kickers don’t chew the rest of the team out.
