Bama loses by 1.

Kira Lewis has 30 points . . . and misses 2 free throws with 2.4 seconds left.

Dang.

Penn is good team, probably a tourney team, so not a horrible loss in the long run. But still . . .

Quaker Oats lost to the Quakers.

Poetic justice.

Penn is a good team, but still, it is jarring to see an Ivy League team beat an SEC team.

Coach did his job.

He put them in a position to win, only to have the best player on the team (with a career high 30 points already) miss the free throws at the end. Stunning he missed those really. The other team's coach seemed stunned as well when they interviewed him - said he felt sorry for the kid.

Not much you can do there.

Ending was kind of funny.

Penn up 79-77 goes down and their clumsy big gets rejected on an easy layup by the RIM which would have put them up 81-77 with 30 seconds left

Alabama takes it down with like 20 some seconds left down 2 fires up a quick 3, misses and gets offensive rebound, ires up another 3 and makes it, 80-79 bama...20 seconds left Penn bleeds some clock and ends up making contested 2 pointer with 6 seconds left. 81-80 penn.

Bama takes it down court and inexplicably penn just reaches in and trips up Kira driving lane with 2.3 seconds left, double bonus foul.

Kira with 30 points on the night fires up 2 blanks among a silent gym and penn grabs rebound and wins 81-80.

Good team as in Duke football will finish 10-2 good?

Or good team as in 112 in Ken Pom to start the season?

Or actual good team?

I cant even laugh or find anything funny about the game. It just looked so painful even if it wasn't my team.

They shot 35% overall and 29% from three (on 38 attempts!), at home, despite seemingly having a size and strength advantage. Couple that with 18 turnovers and you could argue Alabama was fortunate to have a shot to win at the end.

There will be better days, but I don’t care what Oats’ style of play is, jacking up 38 threes as the superior athletic team is inexcusable
