Solid tackling in is what it takes. Then you can run the ball in the second half. Arkansas just fumbled the ball while driving…

[Kentucky might beat them with a little offense.]
Texas leads the SEC in Total Defense by more than 40 ypg. The Horns also lead in passing defense by more than 43 ypg not to mention in Interceptions. The only way UK is going to muster a little offense is if they can consistently run against that defense and with the 10th best rushing offense in the SEC...i don't see it. You have to prove it every given weekend...but as stiff of a test as UK's defense will be for the Horns...I am not the least bit worried about UK's offense. I don't see UK scoring 10 points against the Horns.

Texas and Tennessee will have 7 comparable games at year end. 5 have already been completed.
FLORIDA (TX +26)
TX won by 32
TN won by 6
ARKANSAS (TX +15)
TX won by 10
TN lost by 5
OKLAHOMA (TX +21)
TX won by 31
TN won by 10
GEORGIA (push)
TX lost by 15
TN lost by 14
STATE (push)
TX won by 22
TN won by 19
TBD - Kentucky and Vanderbilt which I expect to net close to zero. Texas beat Vamdy by 3, TN beat KY by 10.
Food for thought if we lose the A&M game. I think we should be above Tennessee. That likely means we both miss the playoffs though..

quote:I can't speak for everyone with a Longhorn logo beside their name here, but there is ZERO desperation with me. In spite of the flaws we've shown a few times on offense, I know what they're capable of if everyone is on their A game at the same time, and that's quite exciting for me.
Yours and your brethren's posts reek of desperation. Your schedule was a weak one. Be happy that is was and move on. Looking for validation is well, a Big12 kind of thing.
In spite of last year breaking the spell of a post Mack Brown decade long curse, my expectations are firmly rooted in reality. I know we can go out and beat anyone on any given day, but we can also be beaten if we aren't firing on all cylinders, case in point the Georgia game.
My post was simply to say we won't get much respect from our new conference mates in year one, and I get it. If we had stayed in the Rig12 it would irk me mightily if some team like Colorado was able to win the conference in their first year, and it would have been the same for all of you when Arky was added, then years later with aggy and Miz. We don't need validation. We've had success in the recent past, we've had bottom of the barrel futility as well. Now we're coming back up again and I'm just going to enjoy it as long as it lasts.

Not Texas fault half the SEC sucks. But yes…we only deserve to get in if we beat A&M.

Now listen, I can't have reasonable responses in the rant...lol. You seem aight. Just know, the new kids on the block rarely fall in with the cool kids. You must earn your stripes. Yall keep winning and more and more of us will shut up.

Lol the shite that follows eating Taco Bell will present more of a challenge to Texas than the Aggie will.
That’s a ridiculous statement. Imagine if Auburn/Alabama stopped playing for 15 years and the first year back was a game on the plains against a 9-2 top 12 ranked Auburn(and it be 110k people). I’m sure that would be a breeze, right?

If you are referring to the personal foul call where the Aggie defender clearly went helmet to helmet on a defenseless Texas receiver in the 2011 game you could not be more wrong. It was the correct call.

5:38 am. It's still dark outside, and you're thinking about Texas. Sad

Not so sure about the shutting people up part, that seems to be temporary and short lived around here.

Win....you might be in.. Lose to A&M with that schedule....
Like it or not, Texas is a media darling. They’ll be ranked 3rd at worst when they play A&M and id be shocked if they dropped out of the top 12.
If you don’t think the playoff committee is biased idk what to tell you.

I watched the new mexico st game, aggies have more qb issues than we do. It may be closer than we would hope but I think Texas is in so now the question is will it be against:
Alabama?
Georgia?
Ole Miss?

Georgia?

So basically you're saying its a Big 12 kind of thing to cross over and dominate you lesser sec teams. Got it.
I don't see y'all scheduling many Big12 teams. Schedules too full of Mercers, New Mexico and such.
Yet you have the audacity to claim UT's schedule is weak.

It’s more of an SEC thing to lose to lesser teams in conference, much like Bama did to Vandy.

Can we move past this? We will beat both Kentucky and A&M with equal effort.
So is Bama the one we face?

Yet should aggy lose AGAIN, they will fall to 6th in the state of Texas alone. Behind Texas, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, and Baylor
Love to know your logic of this statement. TCU, Tech, and Baylor is 6-4 and middle of the road teams in the Big 12. So if we beat Texas can we put you in 6th place in Texas?

i see you dont understand the relationship between Texas, ESPN, and the national media.
unless KY upsets, Texas has ZERO chance of not making the playoffs. Zilch! Even if A&M beat them by 30.
