You ran because you're cowards. Helmet-to-helmet hits are illegal. The flag was justified when your moron DB just had to get a shot in.

For those of you that are not aware of this vile and repugnant hit on the Texas wide receiver that nearly removed his head from his shoulders and made this player a quadriplgic, it is in the video below.

Warning, it is extremely graphic and may not be suitable for kids under 16.

Thanks for posting the video which clearly shows that the DB targeted the Receiver with a helmet to helmet hit and that it was a legitimate call. Even 12 years ago that was a penalty and was even made a point of emphasis for all teams that year that helmet to helmet hits would be called.

Dr RC
As if we'd forget the perfect example for why we left the Big 12 in the first place. What a shock that y'all magically got the call that won you the game.

It was the correct call. DB lead with his helmet and made contact to the head of the defenseless receiver.

Yall kicked a fg after a terribly egregious dpi call. Ain't gonna happen this year

It was the correct call. DB lead with the helmet and made contact with the defenseless reciever in the head.

"Difference was we did not need an absolute BS targeting call to aid in our win in Austin."

The receiver was hit helmet to helmet in the head after he the pass with through his hands by the DB. Clearly targeting and the correct call.
If you are referring to the personal foul call where the Aggie defender clearly went helmet to helmet on a defenseless Texas receiver in the 2011 game you could not be more wrong. It was the correct call.
My advice to Georgia fans especially if they have hotels rooms in or near downtown is to go out and walk around downtown at some point during their visit. Austin during F1 is full of foreign tourists who like to have a good time and it's a lot of fun.
It's going to be a party!!!! I always take the bus in though because I am not about to try and drive back home with that traffic plus 16 hours of tailgating and no telling drinking how many beers and other libations. I too am old to go to jail with a DUI.
I would try the area South of MLK between Lavaca and Red River. You might also have some luck across I-35 where Disch Falk Field is. There are green spaces around DF and next to the Tennis Center you can tailgate and across the Comal there should be some space around the Softball stadium.
Just trying to extend some good Ole Southern Hospitality. Sorry if that frightens you. I was raised to be nice to out of towners. Didn't mean to sound creepy.
Since this may be your first time in Austin if you have any questions that I could help you with I would be glad to share. I've lived in Austin for over 40 years and have been a season ticket holder at DKR for over 20 so I know how to get around pretty good and can help with some places to go and listen to some music, eat, etc. Plus anything about Gameday you need advice on I can probably help you out with or can find out if I don't know personally. Sorry I can't help with getting you tickets to the game or finding a place to stay for the weekend but I would be glad to answer other questions you may have.
There will be tailgating on almost every greenspace and available parking lot on campus and into the area south of MLK adjacent to campus between Lavaca to Red River all the way to 15th. Del Conte upped the ante on Game Day by adding Bevo Blvd and Longhorn City Limits which will feature a Spoon concert for the Georgia game. Gameday at DKR is tailgating, carnival and a music concert with the game as the topper.
Just drive to the Capital Metro Park and Ride at Tech Ridge and take the 801 to campus. I do it every weekend. It will be an adventure.
What exactly is Texas trying to be that they are not. Texas according to the AP poll is the Number 1 team in the nation for now. As Texas fans should we not be proud of that in this moment in time. I'm feeling very good right now that based on the polls and almost every reputable CFB analyst out there Texas should be favored to beat everyone on their schedule including Georgia. That doesn't mean by any measure that Texas will but as a Texas fan I have no qualms at all in celebrating that fact.
