re: "Parenting" - Sankey gets a dose of reality

Well Kiffin was quoted multiple times saying he won’t go against SEC rules. So I don’t know where you get the SEC won from.

This was the SEC jumping the gun and getting worked over legally by a bunch of “dumb Cajuns”.

If the SEC didn’t listen and back off their precious PCSA wouldn’t get passed and now they’re in the crosshairs for litigation while having no protection.

The SEC better hope this goes away quietly. If not they’ll be a named plaintiff in any eligibility case along with the NCAA. Billable hours are about to bankrupt the SEC.

They also would have been taken to the cleaners if they did anything to LSU or Kiffin. They fall under the Sherman Act and after Sankey’s testimony under oath treble damages would be coming LSU’s way paid by your 15 other institutions.

Just because you’re in the majority doesn’t make you right. The SEC still might not be out of the woods yet. Depends on how pissed off the Louisiana government is.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see LSU filing suit against the SEC in federal court come December or January when our football fate is already decided on the field.

So my Brother in law is a partner for the largest law firm in La. To protect him and them I won’t mention them by name, but IFYKYK. Anyway, they represent LSU in a lot of legal matters pertaining to the athletic department. They’ve handled all or portions of the Will Wade, Les Miles and Verge Ausberry cases depending on the subject matter.

He told me today that LSU is going to comply with the SEC in every way right now but will go after Sankey hard at the SEC winter meetings seeking removal for cause.

The 3 main areas are as follows:

Pushing against the increase in football scholarships from 85 to 105. LSU will argue that not going to 105 gave the B1G among others an unfair advantage. The sec held off the increase for 2 years.

Failure to negotiate a better TV contract. The average B1G school makes $7.5MM more than SEC schools with Ohio State and Michigan making more than $14MM than any SEC schools.

Failure in court to understand, communicate and enforce the new 5 for 5 rule that caused serious irreparable harm to not only LSU but the entire SEC.

Sankey is done and he knows it. Will be put down sometime in the spring.

I was well aware of this went I hit the enter key. This is an LSU site. The cult has a massive numbers advantage. The smart ones just don't post. The others...... well we all get a generous helping of their thought process on a daily basis. Very telling on just why that place is in the shape it's in.

I figured this is what would happen. I also figured LSU would let it be as long as no penalties were handed out. Too much money is tied up in this team from outside interests to jeopardize this season.

I’m at the point as well where we received no penalties, we didn’t really need those players so let’s focus on the season and win on the field. After the season is over then it’s time to go ahead and settle this beef and show the Sankey what it looks like when LSU actually does fight back.

The SEC's complaint doesn't present any evidence or first-hand knowledge of this claim.

According to the filing, this claim came from an anonymous source in a CBS Sports article, which just so happened to be co-written by John Talty, who is peddling his new book about Lane. "Facts."

Thats good because he is not going to have the job for long.
