YOU are the one calling it foolishness, a G5 HC making $1.5Million per year that wants to get to the P5 and make $4-5 Million per year sees this SAME SITUATION as an "opportunity" to increase his Team's Talent level win more Games and then get a bigger Contract at a P5 College

There are roughly 130 P5 + G5 FB Programs in the US, take away the 12 Schools in the Pac12 that leaves 115 other P5 & G5 Colleges (I took out the Service Academies) that have good enough FB Facilities for these guys to Transfer to and still have a shot at being an early round Draft Pick
All the P5 & G5 HCs earn at least 7 figures, and in order to keep their highly compensated Jobs they'll take a Pac12 Transfer in a NY Second if they think he can help them win Games and secure more years on his Contract

The OP that you are defending is a friggin idiot if he thinks the HC Coach is gonna start pulling schollies and then once the Player(s) see the "tuition bill" , then they're gonna fall in line and act right and just shut up & play ball

Once again... you seem to have reading comprehension issues. The "hill" I picked had to do with service to my country, my family, and community. I couldn't give a shite less what the OP or anyone else has written in this series of posts about kid and their threats.

The Players have no control over their own likeness, something everyone has, based on our Constitution
Also, the Players combined with the Coaches & Staff gross anywhere from $100 Million to $200 Million each season, grossing that much Money for each yr of your eligibility for the Athl Dept to redistribute to Money losing Sports that don't attempt to earn any money, makes that "free degree" relative
In fact grossing that much money each yr for a free degree is no longer a good deal, I recommend a strike this season to put the final nail in the College Sports coffin ,unless of course they agree to pay the Players larger stipends
Pay the players , plus NIL, plus unpunished transfers after 2 years out of HS is what is now fair, the old terms are no longer fair ENOUGH
