*Over time, I think the Aggies will become LSU's Rival

If you look at the ingredients that most good rivalries have, it has them(or will have them 30 or so years from now).
1. Proximity, the schools are close enough the fanbases run into one another.
2. Semi-equal quality programs, sure LSU is better and will probably remain that way most of the time, but A&M should get better and it's not like they are LA Tech.
3. Passionate Fanbases, they both have those for sure.
4. Regularly scheduled games, they'll play every year from here on out.
5. Hatred for one another, this may take some time cause the aggies are being all sweet right now, but I think it will happen.
6. History, sure there isn't any now really, but give it 30 or 40 years.
ETA: (I've been informed there is a good bit of history if your old)

I could agree the only issue I see is the rivalry has to reciprocal will the Aggies ever see LSU as thier rival or will it always be Texas. Also I think the ARK/LSU even though created by the media largely is picking up steam.

despite what the aggies will try to say their rival will always be texas. they are the little brother to texas, they can't escape that by running away from them and trying to replace them with another big brother (LSU).

Arkansas has a chance too, but they are still fighting history, distance to some extent, and hatred. Although the piggies are trying to make a go at it for sure.

I think he means with TAMU. There is a long SWC history there...but no hate. Don't see that happening.

This, we have such a great history, and their is so much to learn we don't study everyone else's.
