Our first meeting was in 1899. We've played A&M more than several teams in the SEC, including Arkansas. This is much more of a "natural" rivalry than the Arky game, which IMO has always seemed contrived with that stupid boot trophy. I think this should be the first game of the year every year like we did in the 80s/90s against them. If not, then this game should replace the Arky game at Thanksgiving (since t.u. won't play A&M anymore) and Arky can play Mizzou or somebody.

No I meant LSU/TAMU history (but I don't know much about it). I know Arky has a history with them from the SWC period. But the aggies were so caught up with Texas during that time, I wouldn't think it matters much.

Used to be an annual rivalry. LSU fans older than 30 hate the Aggies plenty already.

There is history there.
The LSU/A&M games of the late 80's early 90's were awesome. Usually one the best game of the year in the early 80's.
You also forgot how many LSU people live in Houston. There will be plenty rivalry there.
Start a thread about why LSU/A&M cancelled their games against one another.
