OU fans — do you regret joining the conference?

Given that you’ll likely be the overall lowest tier performing athletic program in the conference outside of women’s gymnastics, do you have any buyer’s remorse in joining the SEC?

Think again . Softball baseball…. Men’s and women’s gym golf tennis all do well . Basketball we started 13-0 and w lehave had a rough start no doubt . Football it just is happened to be the year we had injuries no one else has ever had to the extent by season end OUs top WRs were shelved with a freshman qb. It’s a one off season . OU athletics is always near the top on every sport .

The way our football and basketball teams have been playing we’d be in the cellar of any conference. Ask again in a couple years.

Combined football and men’s basketball this year:
Out of conference record: 17-1.
In conference record: 2-10.
This is the SEC doing this to Oklahoma.

No. Any more stupid questions? If this is about mbb, this is par for the course for a Porter Moser team. Play well in non conference play to give the fans a little hope. Proceed to absolutely shite the bed in conference play. We did the same thing last year so this isn't much of a surprise.

OU sucked worse than this the first 4 years of the Big 12 too then look what happened. They will be alright.

What a dumb question. Why would they regret being in the SEC vs the Big 12? That road to the title means they still have to win in the playoffs even if they got there through a weaker conference. The SEC will offset any money loss from the playoff that they would have received after a play in loss. There is only "ONE" team that can win it all......one team....not 2,3,4 teams....just one. It's not going to get them a title coming from the Big 12 or make it any easier and the money overall would be much less. It's a win/win. Maybe their record suffered this year but there were many who suffered this year. It was a strange year.
