Texas and OU do nothing to add to the SEC money pot. And yeah, this is simply a sensationalist article - nobody wants Texas and the LHN

Which is fine

The NCAA has no organic power, it's all antiquated relic shite and unless they recognize it and stop making arbitrary and politically-tinged decisions then I fully support it getting wrecked

You notice that something that would disproportionately impact them is generating almost no Aggie participation in this thread

it's because they're all on group chats going WTF with their friends

The LHN goes away if this happens.. guaranteed which is fine by me.

As for the money pot.. the vote is 100% no if the money is not more.. it this happens.. and it is a big if.. it is because the money is better

The Big 12 will disolve
SEC Championships might mean more than any national title or there will be a lot of rematches

I don’t care who we add as long as we get rid of Mizzou.

Just looked it up: UT gets approximately $15 million from ESPN & the contract runs through 2035.

4 pods of 4
SEC West: A&M, OU, UT, LSU
SEC North: Mizzou, Ark, UK, UT
SEC South: Bama, Auburn, State, Ole Miss
SEC East: Florida, Georgia, SC, Vandy

9 conference games. Everyone plays everyone every 4 years. Done.

This is UTs only chance to get away from an annual prison experience with Bama. Y’all better take it.

Even if ESPN is willing to renegotiate the SEC's tv contract, and eliminate the LHN, I'm still weary about letting Texas into our conference. They have proven time and time again that they see themselves a more important than the conference they are in. Inviting them into the SEC could be akin to inviting a vampire into your house.

I find this article hard to believe. We have heard nothing about realignment in a while now. Suddenly, some writer comes out of nowhere and says UT and OU could be joining the SEC within a couple weeks?

Honestly I would rather the SEC make a play for Clemson and FSU than OU& Texas. Texas and OU will wanna come in and run the show and it ain’t happening. The SEC has some big tradition rich schools too. And all it will do is cause friction all the time. Texas will try to put A& M back under the thumb and that will always cause friction. It would be a powerful conference even if Texas sucks for the next 100 years. But the headache ain’t worth it. Better choices are out there if the SEC wants to expand.
