They should even have let NFL players on the team. The fact you didn't play them show you knew. Kiffin joking was just him saying "Ha. Ha. Look what we are doing and nothing you can do." That's breaking rules. That however won't get LSU kicked out of the conference. It would take Kiffin repeated mocking it all year or playing them to have them even consider being punished.

Private equity and Brian Kelly is taking that shite. Stop playing. I bet they love LSU football right now.

No, I don’t want LSU expelled. I don’t think that would be good for the SEC.

What was the halftime joke?

We were belt-to-arse whipping Clemson 31-3 at half and after Holly interviewed Kiffin, as he was walking away, he said "imagine if we had pro players!" while laughing.

LSU may not have broken the new rule, but saving the roster spots and making comments are an intentional poke in the eye for no reason except to be crass

Are we supposed to fill the roster spots with someone else? I don't think there's a mechanism to delete them from existence.

Lane Kiffin got a rogue BR judge to declare NFL players eligible for college football. Kiffin can play these NFL players anytime he wants. That has NOT been undone. Now, Sankey and the SEC are forced to fight that decision with this countersuit. And they ain't happy, LSU.

Lane Kiffin doesn't know Baton Rouge judges

The players sued. And look at the players on the suit.

And this has happened all over the country.

LSU left the spots empty and postured as though it could/would fill them at a later date depending on court cases or other factors.

So LSU has empty roster spots now, but UTx and USCe have players who attended minicamps signed.

You want LSU to fill the roster spots with students?

I think the SEC office likely took it as a pretty clear signal that those spots were for the particular players and question. I’m not arguing that the SEC is right in this. I’m just saying that their point of view is understandable, even if it’s crazy as hell.

They didn't let NFL players on the team. It's shocking how misinformed the average Rant poster is on the events that transpired.

I mean they are. If the federal suit says that they can be rostered that goes above the SECs authority on the matter especially if LSU is ordered to roster them. LSU is not out of respect for that process and if the federal court says no then they wont be rostered, pretty simple.

I’m not the commissioner. The only one that matters is him.

Bad cope at this point, Cajun. Lane Kiffin is the only reason for the season. The adults in the room, the President and AD, could have handled this problem child at the first sign of going over the SEC's head when he solicited these NFL players to LSU. Instead, they were complicit through omission. Very common in this permissive society we live in.

No, junior, this one has a long, long way to go.

Again, it's the posturing, the general attitude and defiance of Kiffin and LSU against the SEC and other members.

Most people do not narrow the context down to suit this little narratives LSU fans keep pushing out.
