Didn’t read all the responses yet, but I side with LSU on this matter. There are too many other instances where the SEC turned a blind eye or didn’t speak up until LSU decided to push the limits.
I’m not a law or public relations guy, but I think the SEC should be forced to publicly explain their positions on the prior events of NCAA declaring someone ineligible and then a local judge issuing a TRO to get them eligible. I know that won’t happen.

First thing I want is for the SEC to expel Sankey before he bankrupts the conference. I think Sankey's agenda is not in line with the SEC agenda.
That should have been the 1st item on the agenda when Sankey could not define the difference between a pro and an amateur under oath...

LSU is #3 in college football revenue in 2025, slightly behind aTm and a bit behind Texas.
Yeah, LSU is a pretty fricking big deal in college football, even when they are struggling.

This is stupid. The halftime comment being included is especially nonsensical.
College football is 1000x better when coaches actually say things they are thinking. You don't sanction Florida for Spurrier mouthing off or MSU for Leach being a loose cannon. Trolling and criticism are parts of a public facing position whether you are Phillip Fulmer, Craig James, or Sankey.
Sankey appears to be a petulant clown attempting to distract from his own failures. It boggles the mind that he wasn't prepared to give a good definition for amateur. However it perfectly tracks with the same guy being unprepared to negotiate with the networks.
He should have declared victory after LSU backed off and didn't roster the players in question. The more close attention people pay to the issue the less impressive or consistent the SEC rules are revealed to be.

LSU fan here. I am in full agreement with you. This has gone too far and LSU needs to stand-down.
This went too far when Sankey stepped in attempting to intimidate a founding member of the SEC rather than get on the phone with the powers that be and talk through this. As of now Sankey has embarrassed himself and the SEC under oath in a court of law and each subsequent action digs this deeper for himself and the SEC.
And for the record, LSU stood down (which I knew they would) when they did not include the two players on their roster...

Stand down from what?!
We aren't suing anyone, we aren't rostering any players in question, we aren't doing anything besides our head coach making half time jokes to Holly Rowe.

I want LSU to stay in this conference.

No to expulsion, but if the AD and admin can’t get LK to fall in line, he’s going to force the hand of the conference.

I would love them to get the boot so I wouldn’t have to hear that everyone is scared of them. Nobody is scared and it wears on you after hearing it for so long.

SEC teams get $0 revenue from LSU.
Lemme guess... You think government programs are free and don't depend on taxpayer funds, right? (You're gonna be disappointed again when your WIC card is declined for chips and beer before the game in a couple weeks.)

ESPN didn’t buy Saturday Nights minus Death Valley.
And feelings aren’t rules, and hissy fits are not governance.
I can’t think of a much better exhibit of why the SEC is not ready to govern themselves.
LSU damn well better call their bluff.

We're not the only school with open roster spots. The kids aren't rostered. Yes, they were held open originally in case we could roster them, but we chose not to.
It seems premature to vote on expelling LSU. Do we need to fill those spots with someone off the street to make everyone feel better?
ETA:
And Kiffin making a Kiffin joke to Holly Rowe is quite a leap for "lack of institutional control"
Kiffin made this all about him and LSU because that's the kind of shite Kiffin does.
You all wanted this smoke and now you are crying about possible consequences.
It's pretty clear - don't roster the players and shut the frick up about it and you'll be fine.

LSU viewership isn't even in the top5 for the SEC.
