Methinks you have me confused for someone that likes basketball. You are right though.....they did a number on Beilein's(sp) squad.
I can happily say though that I attended this past seasons edition of "The Game".
In all the yrs I attended Michigan-Flint part time, during the 90s, I wasnt aware we qualified for tickets until the final yr. I was working full time at GM Proving Grounds(a 35 minute 1 way commute), taking 9 cr hrs, and married with kids besides. Any actual "free time" I had was spent sleeping.
In retrospect, I should of grabbed them that yr simply to see the Bucks game. Would of been the 99 season I believe. Even if it was Tres in 01, that atmosphere was unlike any Michigan game I have ever been to.
Good thing my first, and probably only, chance to see it in person was a win. Disability pay allows me to see an Eastern Michigan match up live each yr. I dont draw as much as the ink your players are sporting actually cost.
Thus paying for a 4 ticket package, or worse season tickets, is out of the question.

I think Bama by three touchdowns. Just too much in the running game and upfront that Michigan will get worn down.

I would guess that it will be by at least 14 points since we have probably the Heismen trophy winning QB in Tuscaloosa.
Matt Barkley transfered? When the hell did this happen?
at AJ winning this years Heisman.

How do you see it going?
Remember Michigan State in the Capital One bowl a couple years ago? Yeah, something like that....

Having seen Saban coach my team and a rival's, I'd say his defenses have trouble with mobile quarterbacks that can successfully run a run/pass option like Robinson (see Va Tech 02, Florida 03, LSU and Auburn 2010). Saban teams also seem to go to sleep at various times of the game. His teams also tend to lose games they have no business losing to or let small schools hang around--they just don't show up (UAB, ULM, Miss State, 2010 LSU and only beat Troy 24-20 in 04, Ga Southern racked up over 300 yds running the opton last year). His teams also underperform the year following national titles (LSU 04, Bama 2010--both 3 loss teams).
That being said, it depends on how well Michigan can exploit Alabama's defense and how well UM stops the run and forces McCarron to throw. Robinson's performance will be key on offense. He's similar to Jordan Jefferson, but much, much smarter.
I'd bet Alabama but I'm not going to be surprised if we see an upset here.

Go back and watch a Long Dong Silver porno.
Alabama is the penis, and Michigan is the vagina.

I just want to compare the size of the O lines and D lines.
Alabama average O-Lineman size: 314 lbs
Michigan average O-Lineman size:295 lbs
Alabama average D-Lineman size: 303 lbs
Michigan average D-Lineman size:269 lbs
I based this on the Spring game depth charts which are the best thing any of us can get at this point. I understand that the defensive lineman sizes are slightly skewed for Alabama having larger lineman since Alabama runs a 3-4 and Michigan runs a 4-3, but it is interesting nonetheless.
This difference in size is definitely going to be a problem for Michigan to overcome, and I would be shocked if they were not dominated at the line of scrimmage.

Well i'll (albeit quite passively) root for the maize and blue just because i usually always root for the big underdog in games other than when LSU is playing, but my prediction is..
Alabama 31 Michigan 13
Alabama 31 Michigan 13

the size up front is going to be the biggest thing. CyKo and Fluker are as big and athletic as anyone playing in college. they are both in great shape and freakishly athletic. Then you've got the Outland Trophy winner between them. Best OLine in the country.

I couldn't agree more. I remember seeing Michigan and commenting how small they looked compared to the other SEC teams, in particular Alabama since they were the team I was most familiar with. I cannot see them winning the battle in the trenches and I believe that will be the major difference between the two teams.
I think most top schools can keep up with speed on the edges since there will always be an abundance of speedy receivers and corner backs throughout the nation. The offensive and defensive lines are really where the SEC separates itself from other conferences and establishes dominance.

I think Hoke has UM going in the right direction but I'm afraid the Tide has too many horses. If Denard runs a lot I honestly don't see him finishing the game.

Ms State beat Mich in a bowl game recently 48-17 so Bama should win .....96-17

And prior to that MSU got monkeystomped by bama. Different year, different teams--all depends on how much ground Michigan makes up with new faces and and off season, and how much ground Bama loses if any.

If Mich pulls the upset, does it derail Bama for the season like USCe did in 2010?
