more than a handful wanted Kiffin to hire Orgeron.

TLDR: we dominated turnover margin and had significant non-offensive points (ie not XPs, but FGs, pick-six, KO return, etc) in a lot of games.
That;s a good recipe for a great squad.
Woulda been nice to have that "complimentary scheme" any of the last 6yrs.

Other than 2019
........well there was almost as much excitement in October 2021.

And people sit on this board acting like LSU is some powerhouse of football.

That wasn’t true before 2000, but it certainly is true now.
Hmmm, so tRant whipping boy that started his LSU tenure with 13 commits somehow owns 5/7 of those 2L seasons since 2000.
LSU might be considered a powerhouse, but tRant collective opinion should probably be ignored.

Outside of the Saban and Arnsparger years it’s been a joke.
Had there been a 12x cfp since 2000 LSU would've been a fairly regular participant.

2011 offense was horrendous.
Check the latest LSU media guide. 2011 is #5 all time points in a LSU FB season.

Didn’t Saban lose to Troy in Tiger Stadium.

'04 barely won about 2 min left in 4th iirc.

Les was once losing to Troy 31-3 late in the 3rd quarter
and knocked them out cold in final round with a 9pt win.

I think he brings Coach O with him as DC.
:wha: Zero has no clue to be a DC, like run a base 4-3 with 3-4 recruits. Kiffen better have more sense if hired.

Les Miles had one good year winning the 2007 National Championship because of Nick Saban’s recruiting not his .
Saban, Miles and O had one good year then? All 3 had recruits from previous coaches?

If he can’t take this roster to the Playoff then he will never do it.

From watching other top matchups, LSU has undermanned positions and depth- mostly on offense.

10 minutes from campus. Going to Alabama. Pathetic
I
see you don't follow recruiting.

Les actually did everything we wish Kelly would do here.
I can give BK a sort of inheritance grade curve from the mess he took over unlike the other 2, but still not enough to avoid last place.
The WR drops/routes, RB vision, OL wiiffs/pancaked and D discipline are just too concerning.....almost like he doesn't have a handle on the program.
