Ok so Mich has 8 starters back on their D. Mattison has his 2nd offseason and he had an amazing run his first year. I hate that team but they return their entire secondary and LB core
If their secondary has a bunch of tackles, they are fricked.

First post I had in here referenced them losing their DL and the UA OL being one of the best..

Bama wins without much trouble.
As good of a runner as DR is, he always finds ways to throw shitty INTs when the D is pressuring him, which Bama will do.

Treat him like Tebow in the 09 SECCG. Rush, but don't go by him...make him put the ball in the air.

Denard had 15 INT's to 20 TDs last yr, with their Oline going against Bama's Dline and our linebackers, I think he's gonna start out on the negative side this year.
He rushed 221 times last year. If Michigan leans heavy on him running. It's going to be a long, long game. While we lost Hightower and Upshaw, I think Depriest and Nico and Mosely will keep Bama's standards against the run going. Last yr, only Penn St and Lsu got over 100 yds total as a team rushing against Bama and PState barely (107).
Since Saban got here, only 5 rushers have broken the 100 yard rushing barrier, and only 10 times since 2005 has any rusher gotten more than 100 yards rushing. I don't look for Michigan's offense to be able to move the ball much. I think the Bama Dline will pressure him into mistakes and our somewhat young secondary will get some confidence going after this game. 38-10 kind of game, after a somewhat close score halfway into the 2nd qtr.

Wow the 'Tards are out in force it seems.
First off to the individual comparing last yrs team to the one that gave up a metric shite ton of pts to Miss St...last yrs team actually tackled folks. If Sr 5* DT Will Campbell finally steps up to the plate, we may not hurt that much for the Dl losses, and with the exp gained for rest of D, this yrs team should be better on that side of ball.
D-Rob played the majority of last season with a staph infection on this hand. The QB that ended last season wasnt the same one that Meyer/Spielman were bitching about mid season.
Touisantt(sp) finally gave us quality RB production. We have lost Molk to draft, but continue to bring in very highly rated OL prospects. The last couple yrs we were a totally different O without Molk in lineup(he got hurt several times). Him getting hurt prior to kick off in bowl was yet another example. We were out of sync pretty much the entire night.
So on O we need to replace him at center. The rest of the squad has another yr in system.
With the major turnover Bama has experienced this off season, I would say we got a good shot since this is first game of season. I like our chances a lot better than I would if we were playing prior to the Ohio game to close season.

Bama's Dline and LB's will be solid. Michigan will not run the ball effectively on them. 5 players in 91 games have been able to get 100 yards against Saban/Bama D's since he arrived. The Michigan D will face probably one of the best Olines in the nation next year, including what will probably be a 3 time All American at Center.
Bama will control the line of scrimmage, time of possession and wear Michigan down. I expect Bama will be able to run at will as the game gets into the fourth quarter.

If michigan and state played today, Michigan would win by 10. Don't confuse that team with this one.
