I immediately thought of Pulpwood. Jasper Sanks and Isaiah Crowell also come to mind, although I'm not sure Jasper was ever a "hit"

Michael Dyer.

Had the talent to be an NFL RB, didn't have the head.

Duke Williams.

Again, plenty of talent, but a disruptive force on the team. At least he got his act together to an extent and played in the CFL.

This is the correct answer. The award should be named after him.

He is a great example for this list. Was an absolute beast in 2010. Never sniffed anything close to it for the rest of his career.

Gerald Riggs Jr. Had a slow start, rushed for 1100 yards splitting carries with Cedric Houston, then injuries derailed his senior season and pretty much his NFL career too.

Nick Fairley

???

Nick played two years at Auburn. About halfway through the first year, the light began to come on. He was a beast his second (junior) year and entered the NFL draft. He played in the NFL for seven years, leaving the league when a potential life-threatening heart condition was discovered.

Don't think he flamed out.
