Brock Bowers is probably the best player in the country but doesn’t have any realistic chance at winning.
I don’t know about that. If Kirby goes out of his way to feature him, i.e., give him carries at the goal line, force feed him red zone touches, he can possibly win it. Obviously he’s clearly one of the best players in the country and if Kirby gives him the Charles Woodson treatment, I wouldn’t be shocked at all if he’s in New York with a viable chance.

If a WR can win it, I see no reason why a dynamic TE can't. Cards are even more stacked against him though this season losing Monken, as well as Bennett.

Milton's looked good in limited action, so I think he's a dark horse.
Milton showed real improvement last year when he came in as a backup. Overthrows were always his issue because if you watch him throw even the lightest touch comes out like it's shot from a cannon. He performed well all season long and honestly it was enough compared to him the prior year to think he'd improved (because he had). The Vandy game was just a nasty game with a managed start - weather wasn't great and they just wanted to get through it. Clemson game he performed way beyond expectations.
If that's Joe Milton now and he doesn't regress then he really is a decent candidate because we will have the WRs this season to put up big numbers.

Because Kirby isn’t concerned one bit about it. If he was, Stetson wins it last year.

The reality is UGA since Todd Gurley got hurt hasn't featured anyone much.
UGA splits targets/carries. The answer to "why wasn't Brock thrown the ball more" isn't that UGA doesn't want to pass to him. Other teams schemed to take him away and UGA has enough other options on offense that they took the open man rather than forcing it to the best player.
They'll keep doing that.
If UGA is also blowing a lot of teams out like the last two years, all their starters will lose 5-8 quarters worth of game time due to putting backups in with blowouts. Bennett averaged something like 2-3 pass attempts in the 4th quarter all season. You don't accumulate stats as a starter when that happens, but your team does well.
I don't see UGA featuring any other position enough for a non-QB to be in the heisman race. And the QB position will only be in it if UGA comes back to the field quite a bit to have more competitive games where they're throwing the ball late.

It does make you wonder what Bennett's numbers would have looked like had he gone full throttle every game all season. Holy cow, he'd had 5000+ easy and I see no reason he wouldn't have won the Heisman.

His stats would have been better. But at the end, Bennett's stats ended up being about the same as Williams on a per attempt basis anyway.
But that includes playoff/bowl games. Bennett would have been served more from the heisman voting being after the postseason (where he had 2 games he won and Caleb Williams had 1 that he lost... to Tulane) as opposed to UGA keeping him in for blowouts and keeping the hammer down.
It could be argued he's the best playoff QB ever in college.
