The SEC has 6 of the top 18 all-time schools in wins (those are original schools),
the Big 12 2
In the last 30 years all those SEC teams have won at least one title, most have won multiple titles
You act like Oklahoma isn’t one the greatest college football programs of all time, that includes the SEC.

Oklahoma has no clue what they are about to experience on a weekly basis in the league.
If tedious repetition was a sport, the SEC would be the undisputed champions of the interstellar galaxy.

Look at how OU has done against the SEC in the BCS and the playoffs.
So losing to the best SEC team in those years equates to Oklahoma not being able to win the SEC , ever?
Your theory is flawed.

You act like OU has played in the SEC that entire time.
Just look at the won/loss record of the teams OU played in 1956. That is a good representation of the Big 8/12 schedule OU normally plays
The SEC averages 3 NC a decade and has had winners every decade sine 1910 (even before the SEC formed)
The SWC/Big 8/Big 12, not so much

Not for a LONG time..... the OU fans base will get sick of losing to SEC teams before OU plays in the SECCG
You defend your team, good for you. Fact is OU has never beaten an SEC team with a title on the line, despite having multiple chances

Yeah, what is it now for Alabama, 6 NC in football since Colt ran?

Speaking of history lessons. You sound insecure.

If that is all you got, you might want to talk to Mizzou just before they entered in the SEC. Mizzou had a winning record over Alabama as well.. I think it might have been one game as well......
Now tell me the last 8 NC OU has won in football... and what bowls they played in to win it.
ETA- Alright my friend, good jawing with you. The SEC is about winning but also about cussing, fussing, and discussing sports. Football is king, but the others play their role..
You have a great night, and I will talk to you later

no offense intended, but it's baseball. I don't know, but I am pretty sure that Oklahoma is mostly a football program.

This. ^^ hopefully that changes and soon.

It’s baseball dude. Not everyone cares about baseball like people in the SEC.
Compare OU’s football experience to Ole Miss. it ain’t even close. They have one of the top fan bases in CFB. They’ll be just fine in the SEC.

OK fans don’t y’all have a strong baseball tradition too? More nattys than us in baseball. At least two right?

100 percent that was a lie ...... and there was more than 700 at the game also if thats what your trying to say also.

Oklahoma has two. 50-something and 1994. OU baseball doesn’t generate a lot of fan interest, and hasn’t for a while, mostly because the teams have been average at best. Couple that with a dominant softball program and a AAA affiliate of the Dodgers in downtown OKC there are just too many baseball-related options that have been better. Same goes for basketball, unfortunately.
As far as football goes I’ll be shocked if OU walks in and becomes a doormat like most of the SEC posters on our forums seem to think. History says we will be fine, but that’s also why they play the games. Looking forward to it.

OU Football travels in a big way.
Never confuse OU Football w/ OU anything else. Surprising they didn't show out better in Omaha,
Their entire state culture is built around OU Football, except Stillwater and some of Tulsa.
They also have tons of oil money. Jed Clampett got his millions from a Tulsa company. I remember talking w/ a landowner in the 1980's "making" $1.5 Million/month in royalties from each well, discussing a 50' pipeline ROW. Been a poor dirt farmer for 3 generations, now rich beyond dreams and worrying about a few acres of wheat.
I have only seen OU travel related to Texas in Dallas and various end of year bowl games. Dallas is 45,000+. Not sure how well they will travel to the SEC 'B" games.
Given the dialogue w/ the SEC, the visiting team only gets 2,000 tickets? really?
Whether you choose to believe it or not, Texas and OU have a tradition in college football that is among the cream of the crop. We will both find our place in the SEC, and I'm betting it won't be in the cheap seats.
