that's right. East Oklahoma people are God's people. Central Oklahoma people gets more than a gray area. Some of them just need their asses beaten to start their day. OKC to Lawton

out west, I don't know really, I'm sure they're just trying to survive

I like Oklahoma State/Stillwater people

Yeah, eastern Oklahoma is beautiful. Much like the rest of the SEC states, there are beautiful areas and not so great areas.

what the hell does that mean?

Shelby Foote what??

Famous Civil War author, I assume he was meaning that he was sorry for referencing the civil war so much in his responses.

I know who Shelby Foote was, it just seemed like he was trashing Foote

Foote was balanced in his takes, and so the elitists trash him for not subscribing to their Nazi mind control bullshite

Like, poor white people who didn't have money for food, how are they going to BUY a person? they're not and never did, and they only fought because they were attacked

ETA: you're right, I don't think he was trashing Shelby after reading it again, my apologies to Patterson

I preferred Bruce Catton. Folks need to read to the Army of the Potomac trilogy.

Blindfold yourself and talk to someone from Maryville, Tennessee....then someone from Sapulpa, Oklahoma...and try to tell me the difference.

Location may not be Southeastern...but these SOBs in central Oklahoma are nearly indistinguishable from your average SEC fan.

They are a better fit than Texas, in my opinion.

One of the finest girls I’ve ever dated was an Oklahoma fan, and they have a pretty awesome MMJ program in Oklahoma. That’s all I got
Stayed in Tulsa to hire in for a job. Place was a dump and methy and windy as frick. I’d be miserable living there.

Not that the SEC is hurting in softball or anything, but when OU brings their beastly softball program to the conference, it will be a classic case of all ships rising with the tide.

This might not be the board for you. I say that as a compliment.

Georgia is far superior to Oklahoma. That UGA team that tore your heart out wasn’t even our best team. We are so much better now than then. But Okie will find out soon enough. They will be wishing they were still in the Big 12 once the SEC gets after them. You can go ahead and pencil in losses to UGA, Bama, UK, Ole Miss, AU, Arkansas, UT and the Gators. All the others are toss ups and OU will lose more games than they will win even with the lower tier SEC teams.

This is laughable. Bama and UGA likely, though you might be surprised when they take an L, but the rest, that's ridiculous. OU will transition, and it will be a tough few years, but they will be consistently top 4 in the conference. On bad years they will fall into A&M territory.

The chokelahoma tailgate is terrible. It is far worse than any of the SEC tailgates that I have been to. I have not made it to all of them yet. It is scattered out around the stadium. The campus is nice but small. The rest of the town around the campus is slummy. On top of that, their biggest game every year is played in Dallas. (just like piggie)

Well, an SEC slate will solve that. But Norman is a nice town, I find an aggie fan throwing shade at another campus highly ironic.

Exactly. College Station tailgating is horrible.
