This moron has never been there ….. tailgating isn’t scatttered it’s in one area right outside stadium and the campus is not small as far as other campuses just small considering we have half the enrollment that Texas does. Norman is far from slummy lol… I been trying o Louisiana and it was so bad there I wouldnt stay close to Baton Rouge or New Orleans it literally is the worst place on earth besides Mississippi…. Norman is probably a better campus abs town than 80 percent of Sec college towns. Aggies just hate our stadium because every time they came there we would beat them like a red headed step child 77-0
Oklahoma eastern part has a lot of Great Lakes and Rivera and we have more water lines than the entire east coast does and Great Lakes. We have clean rivers which are spring fed just like they do in Arkansas. Like others have said the east side is similiar to Arkansas maybe not as hilly in spots but similiar .

Southeastern Oklahoma is about as southern as you can get. Kansas is decidedly midwestern, Oklahoma is most definitely a mixture of southern, great plains, and western.
Spending a weekend in OKC will be much more rewarding than College Station or Columbia, that’s for dang sure. I personally care less about tailgating and more about the surrounding area, just personal preference. Plenty to do and see in OKC metro after the game, some visiting fans will end up staying in Bricktown and commuting to the game.
SEC teams will for sure have to adjust to the wind and cold when playing in Norman, Oklahoma is most def windier than Chicago.

I was at the last A&M game in Norman, we took out 5th wheel up there and tailgated at the LNC, there were several hundred other RV's and campers there the night before the game. The band and cheerleaders made an appearance and we had a blast. There were also a few Aggies there, we had a good time with them.

Been there on several occasions. three times in the last five years. Norman is worn out and old. The city is not in good condition. It is much better than Baton Rouge but it is still rundown looking. The tailgate scene is SMALL compared to most of the rest of the SEC tailgates I have been to. Go to a tailgate at lsu, old piss and A&M and report back to us.
BTW last time chokelahoma and A&M played, Johnny Football single-handedly taught sooner nation a lesson in how to play football. A&M beat the BIG 12 co-champion land thieves 41-13. Your little sister teasip was afraid to play us.

I see this a lot, but it conveniently ignores the fact that OU blew out A&M the year before and had won 7 straight, yeah, A&M had a one year wonder, but since joining the SEC their record has been BETTER in league play than it was in the B12, but still nothing to write home about.

SEC play 46-35

Spot on. SEOK is literally nicknamed “Little Dixie” because many southerners fled there and started new lives in the territory. Strong southern influence around there much more than the rest of the state which is mostly southwestern/Midwestern.

UT fans are in for a shock. They’re used to smaller fan bases who don’t travel that well. SEC fan bases are going to take over Austin. The first time Georgia is scheduled to play there is going to be a sea of red at DKR.

Actually Austin was probably the best Texas town I saw when I lived in Texas. It was nice - for a Texas city. Not a lot of competition there though.
You are right about there being a sea of red inside that UT stadium when Georgia travels to Austin. Georgia fans are gonna buy up every ticket they can get their hands on even if it means having to travel to Gawd awful Texas

In your dreams. There is a world of difference between the SEC and that pantywaist conference of yours. And if you think you are better than UK, Arkansas or even AU you are mistaken. OU will be a middle level SEC program at best

I think Oklahoma is where the south meets the west. The eastern 1/3 feels sort of like the South. Tulsa feels a lot more like the Midwest and Oklahoma City and beyond feels like the West.

Maybe we can make it a day trip. But unlike College Station Austin isn’t that bad. It wouldn’t be too hard spending a couple of days there

A&M winning over OU in the Cotton Bowl was an aggy coveted championship celebration. For OU it was, “eh, whatever.” Aggy needed that for their dust-filled, lacking trophy case.

I disagree with this, OU wanted to be there, lets not fall into that SEC mantra of "didn't want to be there", that just was not a very good team, and it was playing probably the best team Aggy has ever had.

Same could be said directly south in Texas. East Texas is where the south begins. West Texas is where the west begins. Everything in between is a unique buffer zone. That’s why Texas culture is so unique IMO.
