Oklahoma is about as close to a cultural fit for the SEC as you can possibly find.

If it’s 40 years it would still be decades before OU ever saw one

Oklahoma is like a larger college station.

While it’s nothing to write home about, Austin is much better than anywhere in the state of Oklahoma.

I take it we can mark you off the list of Georgia fans making the trip to Norman for the game next year?

I go where my team goes. No matter how distasteful that might be.

You just might be the most ignorant, uneducated, misinformed Georgia fan ever. I know Georgia fans. There are plenty in the OKC metro. Job opportunities are great here. Cost of living is cheap. Plenty of things to do here. Perhaps if you travel some and get out of the Georgia boonies, you just might open your eyes to more than just a peach tree.

Nobody wants to live in Oklahoma - that is why it is cheap. Very few places are these days

Much better living in Oklahoma than Colorado. Sure, you can vacation in CO if skiing is your thing. Plenty to do in central OK, NE OK, eastern OK, SE OK. I’ve been to Colorado. Nothing to offer, and skiing is boring.

how do you correlate your reasoning with what I just said? Why would I want to wear layers of clothes and footwear just to put on skis? Not worth the hassle. Give me Oklahoma warmth where I can just put on shoes and get better cardio, and do more activities here. Oklahoma also has the Riversport District where future Olympians train in canoeing, and other sports.

Oklahoma has an abundance of lakes, trails; weed is legal, several entertainment activities from Broken Bow to Tulsa to Oklahoma City to Ardmore to all along the Red River. Oklahoma also has the world's second largest casino resort, among many other casinos across the state.

Again, what exactly makes Colorado better considering Oklahoma has just as much and perhaps even better things to do? Colorado has more mountains and higher peaks? Big whoop.

Oklahoma > Colorado

Well Knoxville is only an hour away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

I’m in Beaver’s Bend right now. Beautiful area and fun little town.

Norman is also pretty cool and very close to OKC so easy to get in and out of for visitors.

Austin seems quite nice with plenty to entertain football fans on a long weekend.
What am I missing?

Nothing, aggy is just jealous cause we're about to open our Tesla global headquarters, and they're still on their first dixie chicken.

Austin is all yours buddy.

The Longhorn alums I’m friends with had me take their kids last year to an A&M game. I was told to get them to love it. They are not a fan of what Austin or the school has become it seems. I hear this a lot now a days. I do not hear A&M alums pushing their kids to Texas.

Don't be jealous because the nicest establishment in your farmersonly.com town is a Fuzzy's Taco Shop
